So this is a pretty minor thing that’s always got to me and we don’t even know if the concussion rifle is going to be in Halo 5 yet.
From the look of the concussion rifle it seems to be plasma based yet uses a magazine. I’d much rather it had a battery and overheated the same as other plasma weapons. It would differentiate it from human weapons more and also from the brute shot which it is clearly meant to replace.
With the switch to battery we could have chargeup secondary like PP.
I’d rather them replace the Concussion Rifle with an arc-firing Rocket Launcher-esque weapon.

I kind of miss the Plasma Launcher from Reach…

I didn’t even think of that XD
I think from a lore perspective it operates similarly to a fuel rod or carbine in that it is loaded with radioactive projectiles. So I would be surprised if it operated on battery in any Halo game.
