Concerns for Hacking in Halo Infinite

I know already what you are thinking. “dude you suck, no one is hacking”

Hear me out.

Unless the game is broken, there are serious problems that need to be addressed.

3 days ago I ranked at Diamond 1. Game play was extremely challenging but rewarding none the less. I was still making plays, winning gun fights, doing everything I could to win.

I was progressively making rank, meaning I was still growing in my rank.

Yesterday I got on, and it seemed as though I was in a completely different league. I would walk around corners and be completely decimated by the enemy team within a second. I figured they were really good at communicating and that they were ready for me. It kept happening. Game after game over the last 2 days. Instant obliteration when I tried to get into the fight.

It finally hit me. I’m not actually doing anything different from when I was playing 3 days ago. I’ve been getting matched with people who are either aim botting, walling, or some other variation of hacking. There is no other explanation. I’ve been playing Halo since it originally released as Combat Evolved. I’m not some self-proclaimed god at the game or that any legit player in higher ranks than me aren’t good. I’m not making the claim that legit good players are just playing.

I have legit lost 99% of my last 15 ranked matches. I was getting 20+ kills a game to now struggling to get 10. It makes absolutely no sense to me other than this game is easy to hack and a lot of players are doing it.

It’s sad because I love this game but I simply cannot play it anymore because of this.

There are gameplay issues currently. Aim assist bug, no hit registration, packet loss with low ping, and instability that leads to crashes. So it may just be the game.

However with that said modded controllers are the largest growing form of cheating because they work on console as well. I have personally come across a lot of cheaters. Finding at least one cheater every four to five games.

I recently played someone who tore me a new -Yoink!- with the Commando. Watched Theater and according to that, he had zero recoil. It was open ranked so he could’ve been using hacks or a modded controller, but it was definitely jarring to die to that thing at all

I know the feeling of the losing streak. I have probably won only one match out of the last 10 games played. That being said, I am unsure if there is suspicious activity going on or if my team just sucks.

It feels like I don’t get paired with someone doing something like this every 4 games

The thing is I don’t solo queue, I play with my friends, who range from high platinum to mid diamond and they all say the same thing as me. We communicate effectively and play the objective every game. No fooling around.

We all have the same feeling that it was like a flick of the switch with the hacking.
