While I’ll admit the new flood mode looks like a huge improvement to infection of the past, it brings up some concerns.

I know that infected players will have a flood skin, but is this universal in the gametype? I would like to be able to disable this skin, as it would be rather awkward playing teacher, ghostbusters, cops and robbers, etc as a hulking monster of a Spartan.

My second concern is weaponry. If infection of the past is anything to go by, we should be able to customize the weapons of the zombie/flood for different gametypes, as well as all regular traits. But the claw makes me think this might not be the case. Unless this or every weapon gets a flood skin, then I fear that 343 may have pulled another CTF and limited our once vast customization for this gametype. Seeing as they’ve removed waypoint options and flag dropping from CTF, do you think its posible they removed the weapon customization of the Flood? If so, then custom games will take a large plummet is halo 4.

Honestly not being big on custom infection gametypes. I see no issues but like I said I never cared for custom infection. I see Juggernaut being a better way to do those things but Reach’s juggernaut was so messed up and was never fixed so I just made my own slayer DMRs gametype in Reach and was done.

Do you remember Zombie ghosts? Worst gametype ever.
For the first, I would surprised if you couldn’t. Seems like a basic option.
For the second, I would be VERY surprised.
But you have to understand, no one has any idea of anything right now when it comes to customization. Evidently 343 wants this to be like past Halos, where customization reigns supreme, so I would guess these are options, but we won’t know likely until the game comes out.
You forgot the part where they leave armor abilities in it. That’s going to screw with the gameplay so poorly.

you mean the gametype in halo reach with invisible zombies in reach matchmaking? I remember it being mediocre at best.
However I’ve played many other gametypes with invisible zombies that were amazing, like ghostbusters. And I’m talking more specifically in customs, not matchmaking. I expect a bland experience in matchmaking, not customs.
I honestly think games like teacher are really stupid. I’m not worried about the flood’s weaponry but just the fact that the they get thruster pack and camo. I also think loadouts in infection are dumb. I would just give the humans an assault rifle along with the weapon and ordinance drops. Same with the flood except no weapon and ordinance drops, and replace the assault rifle with the claw.
