MP looks amazing plain and simple.
It looked like the MP was leaning more towards H4 styled…even could call in an ordinance.
I think they said “Spiritual Reboot” and folks jumped to the conclusion that this meant classic gameplay (which, like, if you want, go play MCC?)
Just like with “Windows 10 is the last Windows,” I don’t think a “return to classic gameplay” was ever actually said.
Folks just assumed.
The ordinance drop and didn’t look like it was part of an arena type of gameplay. Remember 343i said they are creating a bigger mode than BTB so what we saw there could be part of it, hence, the vehicles and the pelican dropping in a banshee.
All the stuff you saw there (grenades, wrist weapons) doesn’t look like attached on equipment top your spartan. They look like Halo 3 pickups you get around the map. I heard the grapple hook was a power weapon too, not part of your spartan arsenal.
If anything thats part of the spartan mechanics is just sprint and slide. But I don’t mind that staying.
Returning to classic gameplay doesn’t mean removing all other movements and going back to walking speed always. It doesn’t mean making the game slow down to a crawl. If you want to play an old game with none of this, go play MCC. The game looks extremely fun and really does look like halo. Going back to classic doesn’t mean making a carbon copy. Holy -Yoink- grow up man and learn to enjoy things. Y’all halo fans find anything to complain about. There will probably be around 1% of you who don’t like this. It’s not enough to warrant ruining the game just for y’all 30 year old players who can’t accept time changes.
Go play MCC if you’re not satisfied

I expected this. 343 hasn’t made a single good game so there was no reason to believe they would suddenly drop a good game after so many flops.
Just let all these noobs enjoy their new trash, they’ll be sick of it after a month and go back to fortnite and warzone anyway. It’ll die quickly just like the other 343 games
We luckily still have the original trilogy to play, albeit a somewhat messed up version of the original trilogy.

20 years of Halo and the next thing we know is we’re going back to the classic Halo feel? Doesn’t sound like any evolving or advancement to me. For a small portion of people who was “hoping” to go back to the old days, unfortunately for them they’re going to be left behind as all things continue to change and move forward. It was a lot to take in, but just like H5, it’s going to take some time to get accustomed to but I’m sure we’re all going to have a blast with Infinite MP. You might not enjoy it, but hell I know I will.
Really hope the abilities we saw (Grappling hook, deployable cover, reflector, ect) are pick up one time use items. REALLY don’t want armor abilities coming back…
Jesus Christ… You can never please everyone. I get the old heads of Halo want a more classic experience but the truth is, that’s not where the market is. From a business standpoint, it makes no sense to exclude a new fanbase to please the old. Cause the truth is, as we get older, the more of us “older” Halo fans begin to drop off and stop playing or play less.
My personal take as someone who’s 100%'d every Halo ever and started in Halo on CE when it launched, I thought this was a great blend of both. It was new and refreshing but still felt like Halo. Were there parts of the trailer I wasn’t keen on or slightly confused or concerned? Yes, but we just have to see. Sprint isn’t going anywhere and those of you that are still butthurt about “enhanced” movement need to get over yourselves. You knew it was in the game since last year. They compromised and removed spartan charge, ground pound, thrusters, and ADS hover yet many of you ARE STILL NOT HAPPY. You literally want every thing your way.
I love the Halo universe and franchise. The community is clearly passionate but -Yoink!-, some of y’all are so stuck in your ways. I bet you still wear your lettermans jackets and class rings and talk about how good you were at football in highschool. This community is so quick to judge and toxic, I wouldn’t blame 343i and MS if they said -Yoink- it and stopped making Halo all together. You still have MCC to go relive the glory days of Halo that is amazing. The newer games are going to continue to evolve and innovate. If you don’t like it, keep your 360s plugged in.

Definitely appeared to be that way. At least with the Grappleshot. Looked to be picked up right before use.

People really want a “Halo 3 - 2” multiplayer. This looks good, fun, frenetic, and it will be free, so yeah, no need to complain about it.

Seriously, this looked awesome. I’m excited about new gameplay opportunities and new toys to play with. This looks like Halo, and it captures those “holy crap did you see that?” action moments that I love about the multiplayer.
