Concerning the Campaign DLC

So concerning the capmpaign DLC
I think it’s sorta scummy to keep other camping mission (Sidenote: I know it will not be apart of the main story but a branch off) behind a paywall.
It keeps normal players who didn’t buy the ultimate edition or the season pass etc. from enjoying a “full campign”

So my question is what is the community’s thoughts on this

I think it’s fine, think way back to the original Starcraft. Brood War was an expansion that continued the story, and you had to pay for it.

Now, if they had the campaign DLC available at launch I’d be upset, but since it’s not it probably means they’re working on it as we speak, so I’m okay paying for it.

I am fine with it… So assuming that, any campaign DLC is against having a complete campaign for the original game. Is that what you mean? Can you put me an example of a game where there was a campaign DLC with an extra mission and it was fine for you? What is wrong with HW2 campaign DLC so far? Are you against the fact we can enjoy more content for a reasonable price including leaders, maps (for free), campaign DLC and a frigging Halo Wars 1 Definitive Edition when games like destiny offers expansions overtime where you have to pay for new content? In your idea, all these things should be for free? Do you think it is an expensive game? Have you bought more games recently? How long you have played those game? Those games offer you more gameplay time for less price? Do you feel it is abusing to pay for a season pass that offers you content for over 6 months? Do you think “normal” “players” are not well aware of the situation? Do you feel sad for them? Do you think “normal” player should get an email or any information to let them clearly know they will not get the “full halo wars 2 campaign experience”? Do you think Star Craft 2 expansion or separate missions don’t make sense?

Thanks, no need to answer all at once. Have a great day my friend.

if they only add 3 new campaign missions then they are -Yoinking!- scammers. hw1 had 15 missions so it is fair to expect equal if not more content in the sequel.

Personally I’m nuetral about it. It depends on the mission

Same, but as long as we get some more blur cutscenes for the heavy lack of them in the main game. That and I’m curious: will it be set at the same time as HW2’s main story or after ? Both could provide interesting aspects for the game unexplored thus far !

As long as the missions aren’t just another half–Yoinked!- “Spartan Ops” I’ll be happy. If they’re campaign missions, make them actual campaign missions, especially if we’re paying above and beyond what the game cost at launch.

I’m a little conflicted about it being announced from the start - because to me that says “We have more of our story to tell, but we aren’t going to be able to fit it in before deadlines so we’ll charge a little more for it and release it after the fact”. That bothers me from a project standpoint.
