Hello.
I have a few questions about the Xbox 360 Sunset

  1. Will spartan customization in Halo (3,4, Reach, ODST, any others) completely disappear (everyone is a recruit) are just stop working (you cannot unlock any more), if it is undecided I would like to make a suggestion, An update that unlocks everything so that when your homies come and play legacy halo, we look cool doing it.

  2. Spartan ops, the money scam, If the Xbox halo servers a shutting down, wouldn’t this eliminate the need for Xbox live gold.

this is all I have so far and would prefer these to be addressed in an update (if they are changing at all) that way others, can enjoy halo, in all of its aspects

I am on board with this. As someone who has 98% of the armory unlocked, I agree to give players something before the sunset on them. Also if they don’t do your suggestion how about increasing credit limits for offline exponentially, like to how it is for online play. And make Campaign, custom games and custom firefight give you credits that at the very least match the current matchmaking credit rewards you get after each match. If they don’t do anything, then I suggest for the players to head on over to MCC (Master Chief Collection) since Reach is on there and it is quite easy to unlock all the armors for it and plus more since some of there more recent updates to the collection.

The graphic 343 released says that customization will not be supported following the sunset date for Halo Reach and H4. I take this to mean you will not be able to unlock any new cosmetics. Not sure whether you will lose everything you’ve already unlocked, or whether your service record will be reset or disappear entirely.

Maybe 343i could do and 100x XP and credit boost for h4 and reach until the sunset?

To my knowledge the customization and credit system is built into the game of halo reach and because of this I don’t think you can really be stopped from getting new armor via the credit system. However with multiplayer no longer as a viable option for gameplay, credits will take an absurdly long time to gather, especially in the higher ranks if your account is / was a gold member at any point. I also believe all waypoint armors such as military police will officially be walled off to the player as I doubt the 360 waypoint app will be able to communicate with halo reach.

TLDR: you can get armor but mega slow

If we do get to keep our armory and service record, I’m glad I have it 100% completed and am max rank (in Reach). Otherwise I have plenty of screenshots donning my haunted helmet/my Inheritor rank.

So for Reach I have explored quite a lot of things with it, including how the game has the customization built into it. The customization for the game is there even when offline with no internet connection. Now unless they snuck in an update that I don’t know about I am willing to die on that hill that customization is built into the game and it will be there when the servers are done. I have tested this multiple times and I see my armor all unlocked still and I have kept my xbox offline with no ethernet cord attached to it before and still had my armory at the same % unlocked. The number just might no be displayed there to tell you how much is unlocked.

As for the service record and credits system, well unfortunate sad face…
When the servers go down later this year, service record will be gone and earning credits without the servers will take an extremely long time to even rank up from the most basic modes because your credit limit offline is super low. If memory serves me right from testing, you can only earn like 2,000 credits offline in a day unless you do some weird function of the internet on the game before pulling the plug on yourself. Also the commendations has been hit or miss for me in the past from testing. Sometimes I had it there to still keep on trying to obtain and other times it was non-existent.

So I know it sucks that we will lose our service records later this year but to be honest gentlemen, it has been a great run and glad that we at least got to try and enjoy a game that could of had the plug pulled a long time ago on it. Great community and friends gained from this game and I enjoy the fact knowing that for some of you, you are still trying to accomplish goals, missions, tasks, achievements, commendations in this soon to be eleven year old game. However, like I have said before, the MCC has Halo Reach on it and you can easily unlock all the armor for it on there, plus some more from other seasons. And in Halo Infinite, when that comes out later this year, 343 have been quoted as pertaining to the customization of the game, that all the armors from the past halo games will make it into Infinite. Anything you miss here, you will be able to obtain in Infinite plus more! The feeling and experience of the game may be different but at the very least you can rock out with your preferred look, which when the game comes out and Halo Reach armor will be available in the first season of the game I am rocking out with my appearance from Reach.

Correct me if I am wrong about anything so that we don’t have any confusion here.
So for one last thing, keep on trying to complete as much of the game as possible before the servers go down, and I salute all of you guys.
