Viewed everybody I played against, all only have played solo and/or crossplay ranked. That speaks for itself.
There’s really not. Movement and aiming is all one for one on KBM. 343i has game changing mechanics built into the game to favor one input over the other. 343i even handicaps KBM even more with negative aim assist with the sniper. There isn’t more of a “learning curve” with KBM when 343i implemented random game behavior mechanics that put KBM at a disadvantage.
@l_HyperLethal_l you have access to play with KBM on your Xbox, right? Why not give solo KBM a try? Try that out and then cross play and experience these issues yourself.
Controller also receives stronger bullet mag. KBM did have bullet mag on par with controller back in preview/beta but they stripped it at launch. Which is also an advantage controller has. This stronger bullet mag controller has is clear as day with the Sidekicks in SWAT.
I’m telling you I already understand. This ain’t counter strike by any means. Kill times are longer and players have shields making it harder to consistently land your shots.
Plus, keyboard moves seems a bit iffy. It doesn’t offer you the range of control a joystick typically would.
All in all, I just don’t see myself playing on Mnk seriously unless I’m bored
I’m not trying to get in an argument about mouse and keyboard vs. controller but my friend and I play on controller and we experience all that stuff frequently. The big problem with any testing you try and do in this game is that there is no way to baseline it.
The netcode is so messed up. Some games I play and I feel awesome. Every shot hits the way I think it should. Other games, nothing is registering and then I clearly shoot 3 feet to the left of them and it registers, or I shoot them in the foot and it gives me a head shot.
The thing that is really frustrating is that this stuff can change in the middle of a match. If I put my tinfoil hat on, I start to think 343 has purposely coded this crap in the game to try and make every game close and to try and keep everyone’s win rate near 50%.
All that to say… You can do all the testing you want and it doesn’t mean much because different encounters are going to play differently no matter which input you are using all because the game is full of random desync that is impossible to compensate for.
My prediction, and I truly believe this is being a realist and not a pessimist, is that some people will return to season 2 but the game won’t be significantly better so they’ll run away as fast as they can pretty quickly.
Cheating in video games a video game player using various methods to create an advantage beyond normal gameplay, usually in order to make the game easier. Cheats may be activated from within the game itself, or created by third-party software or hardware.
That is the definition of cheating in a video game.
You think using a controller (aim assist) gives players an advantage, hence, that means you think they are cheating since using a method ingame to gain an advantage is cheating
Correct, it is an advantage and it’s also been proven it’s an advantage but I never once claimed it as cheating. It’s default by controller input, implemented by 343i themselves. It’s not a “download” or system/software changing the game in a unique way for said player.
Said player isn’t using various methods. They’re just simply using a controller.
No, you cannot turn off aim assist with controller.
Really? So the picture you’re trying to paint is I should be able to download cheats and use them in Halo and it’s fine? Since it doesn’t have to be. You’re the one trying to claim that I think aim assist is a cheat, which I’m not.
