The problem is that it forces everyone else to play SWAT. SWAT sucks in Infinite, the maps play terribly, the sightlines are way too long and there are way too many tight angles that encourages incredibly slow, angle holding gameplay. If I wanted that I’d go play siege. Halo is not a tactical shooter and this the tacical shooter experience is done very poorly. MK+B players are also at such a massive advantage it’t not even funny, if you play on a controller, just don’t. Plug in an mkb or youre going to have an awful time.

The challenges aren’t random. 343 premakes these.
So I expect the to have challenges that are subject to RNG…
We are getting swat with different starter guns. So it’s going to be get x amount of kills with this gun. You may go 10 rounds and not start with that gun
What this does it creates an artificial playr count boost for a longer duration.
See players like have full intention of burning through the challenges and than go back Elden ring.
343 doesn’t want this. They want me spending hours and days working through the challenges.
So it will be set up to slow players down as much as possible.

The point of the challenges is to be as big a pain in the -Yoink!- as humanly possible so you’ll buy boosts and swaps. Retention is just a side effect (assuming it even works, which I highly doubt)

With the cheating, not being able to report in-game, and the fact this is literally a headshot lollapalooza… I have a very bad feeling that this entire thing is going to be nothing but cheating, and people quitting halo in general.

Did read the OP, maybe you should read my comment. If my silver 2 friend can do it, 85% of the community can do it. It’ll depend what challenges he gets I suppose - getting 3 triple kills would be pretty hard for him. I suppose your friends might be lower than him. I don’t think my bronze friends could get triples unless the stars aligned for what that’s worth. None of them have a triple yet it looks like.
Literally the only way to make sure everyone gets everything is to just give it away for completing a game. Or your friends (well bronzies in general) could try searching solo and will likely mostly just get other bronzies and silvers.
Like I said, your friend is not Silver 2 if he is playing good with an Onyx squadmate
He has good games and bad games. And by good I mean 12-8. That’s good for him against platinums or higher for sure. He has his bleed out games though of 4-18 though too. Depends.
He’s definitely not silver 2 if he can get 12-8 against platinum’s
The ranking system is just so rubbish that your rank doesn’t say anything.
I started at silver-2 when ranked in (end ended as silver-6 before the reset) and almost always went positive against mid- to high platinum players.

Yea it is pretty useless in general. Just pointed out my own friend since OP mentioned his friends are worse than him. There’s a lot of overrated platinum players imo.

Nothing quite like getting an event challenge requiring mangler kills, going to the event playlist, and spawning with BR’s… you’d think they’d design the playlist and challenges to hand in hand… but now here we are with a 50/50 on even getting the “new” event mode inside the event playlist…

Came back to try out but with my ping being 60 the Desync is still there and atrocious for this game mode my I’d get headshots after they were behind a wall.

Yea I know but they made the challenges knowing they will go I to the challneges pool for players, so if it is tedious and kinda up to getting a specific gamemode you know they specifically made that.
So if it’s Play a round of swat and get 30 kills with the Mangler, which means you have to hope you get a round with the mangler they specifically made that one knowing it could take a player especially one that’s not good. To complete that.

Tactical Slayer is just like Call of Duty’s hardcore mode.
The most casual thing in the entire game.
I’m just glad that there can’t be any of those hateful assist challenges. Those are the worst.
what call of duty are you playing? Cause in mw2019 hardcore is even sweatier than shipment 24/7
