once again, Americans ignore the fact that they are not the entire planet, and as such there is no mention of region selection in the post.

Great list, I see lots of people complaining about the aiming and despite being very vocal about how poor it was in the first and second flights, I find it to be much better personally in the beta, I think they’ve struck a nice middle ground between skill and aim assisting features.

Great list. I agree with basically anything except for Customization being in a “decently good spot”.

I see its potential and the system as a whole looks good but at the moment we have very few options per Armor Core and, for some reason, 343i decided to try again the very badly received Halo 5 Emblem customisation. Only even worst than last time with less embles and less color options.

As a result almost everyone is forced to use the default armor with one of the very few free Coatings and the default emblem with one of the very few color oprions.

This is the exact opposite of giving players freedom to express themselves with their Spartan’s customization.

I’m not a fan of alot of the game currently

  • Progression System is Unbearably Slow and Irritating ( for a sandbox game that encourages playing how you want these challenges are forcing me to play how i don’t want)

  • Not alot of Armor options / everything is locked behind a paywall

  • No Assassinations

  • Armor Kits are a travesty and there should be a warning on the shop that you can’t have the colors or material shaders unlocked… visor colors etc… ( a better solution would be to just give us the options we paid for it would justify the high cost of the sets )

  • no customizations for covenant weaponry or vehicles

  • can we please have our normal game modes back … SWAT , Infection, Grifball, FFA Slayer ( and maybe a reach slayer mode which lets us create/pick a loadout and armor ability I’d play that all day long )

  • Create a ONI nameplate and background … im a naval intelligence spook i can’t pull it off without my credentials

Are vehicle drops asymmetrical? Sometimes the enemy team gets dropped a scorpion and a plane while we get farmed by them, they snack all the powerweapons that could potentially counter the vehicles and then the game is basically over.

Please don’t represent this as a comprehensive list of community feedback.

This community will never have one voice, we are all different people with differing opinions about this game. We will disagree a lot.

As an example, I don’t think flag or ball carriers should have one hit kill ability.

Credits must be available through another way too, but it must be available at slower rate than simply purchasing them. Buying credits isn’t good measure for new players or players who can’t spend much on games

Great post man, thanks for taking the time to write all that out. Hopefully 343 takes all of these points into consideration (especially the rank progression) and can quickly put out fixes.

Really hoping they can reduce the time to spawn, maybe down to 4-5 seconds. TTK is great so far it seems. Also REALLY need matchmaking preferences. Where’s my Team SWAT, Team Snipers, Team Slayer???

Can we also mention how vehicle damage needs to be better communicated, I can still barely tell visually if what I’m in is about to explode.

Definitely nowhere near as important, but as someone who greatly appreciates the acadamy mode, I’d love it if we were to get different high-scores for MnK and Controller. I love using controller when I’m just chilling out, but I would like to use this mode to get better at my aim on MnK. I don’t want to mix-up my scores with two vastly different versions of aiming.

You should add player collision to the list.

Interesting idea… if some cores were compatible with others, such as backwards compatibility between Mark V (Gen 1) and a future Mark VI (Gen 1) but not with Gen 2. Gen 3 and Mark V (Gen 1) helmets and armour could blend together, but Gen 2 (when it’s added) probably won’t fit quite as well and could be kept separate. SPI could be compatible with every core. Etc. Etc. And of course, Fractures kept separately

Here are my two cents:

  • We need to be able to select Speaker output. Very hard to play Ranked matches while my teammates voices are coming out from my PC speakers and not through my headset.

  • Battlepass progression needs a rework. Yes, I’m not the first saying that but that just means how much it is needed.

  • Playlist mode selection and not just quick play.

  • More game modes as you already mentioned.

  • Better menus. For multiplayer a “Play again” button would be great instead of going to the main menu again and better after match stats.

De-ranking should never be in ranked matches. You worked hard to get a high rank, only to lose it quickly.

Absolutely agree with the Playlists argument. It baffles me that they have the MCC’s great playlist but yet didn’t implement that into Infinite. I’m really really really hoping its only for the beta but something is telling me that this is how it is day one.

If you can never lose rank, then earning a high rank doesn’t mean anything.

I’m very confused about the current ranking system, because I expected them to copy-paste their system from Halo 5, which was excellent. Is it really impossible to lose ranked rating currently?

^ This is not at all how the Halo 3 ranking system worked. Maybe you are thinking of the Halo 3 XP system? But even then this is still wrong as it was +1 point for a win, 0 for a loss, -1 for quitting.

Current issue with Armour kits is that they look like packs when in actuality they’re skins.

I would suggest an alternate Colour system, like Warframe’s Pallets or Anthem’s material system as a compromise between player expression and monetisation.
