Is Marty doing the music or is he still with Bungie? If he’s not, who is doing the music for 4? I hope it’s not the same guy who did Halo Wars.
Watch the Halo Fest panel for Halo 4, the new composer is a big part of it. I am not sure what his name is but he worked on Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3.
halo wars theme song was good other songs were bad though.
I believe the new composers name is Sotaro Tojima. He is notable for his work on Konami’s Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
Been curious/concerned about this as well. I’m keeping good faith that Tojima will compliment Marty’s fantastic work, as well as contrast it. It is a new story arc/trilogy after all.
Halo Wars wasn’t terrible considering the campaign predates CE.
Halo War’s music was great. It had some of my favourite pieces of music.

I just thought Halo Wars music was too… I don’t even know how to explain it. I guess it fit the game just because it was music that reminded me of Command and Conquer but I just hope this guy uses vocals the way Marty did… Remembrance was/is my favorite piece of Halo music after the Halo 2 title song just because both are so beautifully put together.

Probably a dumb question but I’ll ask anyway. Did he compose the music for the concept art trailer? Because that was awesome. I loved the touch at the end when it showed “Halo 4”.

I don’t think anyone knows. I’m pretty sure he did the music for the concept art trailer though. You could try PMing BS Angel or one of the mods.

In my humble opinion, the music from Halo Wars was substandard. I prefer the music from Halo 2 (the game, not that awful excuse for a soundtrack) followed by Halo 3, which unlike its predecessor had a decent and well-organized soundtrack with only 1 song that really didn’t belong.
If the music from Halo 4 is anything like that from Halo 2 or Halo 3 (stunningly beautiful, with a well-organized soundtrack including all the music heard in the game in order, not in suite format), we have a winner.
