Complex is the weakest map.

The map is beautiful to look at and cool in setting, but it’s destroyed by the fact that it’s a haven for dmr camp fests. Everyone already, or is beginning to understand that Ragnarok is destroyed by the dmr in btb and flag cap. I thought ragna was ruined period until I played a match of king of the hill. I dunno it it’s just because the other team didn’t do the dmr camp at spawn garbage, but it was actually fun. As for complex, no matter what gametype, camping the roof or your own spawn with the dmr, is a viable tactic. I suspect that the map could be good in straight up btb, but you guessed it, it’s mysteriously not in btb.

The problem isn’t the DMR or the maps the problem is how they took out any skill required to play the game. Aim-assist basically makes it impossible to miss at the longest range and even if you do miss by a mile it’s okay because enemies have a black hole strength bullet magnet in them that will suck up all projectiles.

Complex works nicely for gametypes that force you to move around, such as King of the Hill and Capture the Flag.

Also, even if it is the worst map in Halo 4, it’s much much better than most maps in Reach.

I noticed some people glitch into the walls like a hole in flood mode kinda annoying.

“Took out skill”

“Aim-assist”

Massive aim-assist started in Halo 2. I think that’s why all the baddies liked it - because they actually felt like they were good.

Halo 1 was the best when it came to this - but then it didn’t have to worry about online play. Interestingly, I was the best at Halo 1. Maybe that’s because I took the time to aim while others just sweepsnipe and BR sweep.

Onto Halo 4 though - yes, Complex sucks. Any level where players can just stay in one spot, surround your respawns, and take you out immediately after you appear is lame and needs to be the way of old shooters. I’m amazed that poor level design and spawning code still hasn’t been solved over the years of video games. Halo 4, like Halo 1, at least provides you with a great starting weapon so you can help defend yourself, which is where Halo 2 - Reach sucks.

I laughed. There will always be these kinds of people.

Same. 343 know about this one. Hopefully they fix it ASAP.

This is true, but in Slayer games it’s who ever controls that roof will win. I know this to be true because I do this to teams. It’s kind of boring, but hey winning is better than losing.

I disagree slightly, I personally like about all the matches I have played on Complex. I have dubed it my favorite map ATM.

Only game type I’ve ever really had problems with on this map is oddball. It’s just so easy to kite the enemy team with far away spawns.

Complex is awful. Nothing but people camping on roofs with DMRs. God forbid you don’t spawn on the side with the ghost. Now you have that thing chasing you around the map.

Not to completely disagree with you or anything, but a ghost spawns on both sides :P.

Complex is broken by dmr even in koth matches. From the roof, you can basically guard almost any point. So if your holding an area near the cave jungle patch, someone on the roof can just ping you as his team mates sprint in and clean up. The map feels like it was made as a single player area, but then got turned into a mp map.

i really liked this map at first but the more time that passes the more i dislike it. when you see the carnage report and one person is like 35 kills and 2 death with 33 kills with a ghost, its kind of a bummer.

complex is terrible

4 is easily the worst in this regard, though. 3 at least cut down on assist long range and bullet magnetism wasn’t so severe even if there was any. Reach further cut down on aim assist. But 4 basically aims for you regardless of distnce and then guides bullets in case you aimed somewhere it didn’t want you to.

You mean people who will point to the training wheels that make noobs have a false sense of ability and ruin the game while destroying any sense of accomplishment for skilled players.

I agree that complex is a dmr camp fest. The spawns need to be tweaked. Everytime I spawn in the back of the map I get insta killed by dmr fire from the roof.

Its not my awareness that was bad it was the lack of cover at that side of the map. Atleast spawn me inside the structure so I dont get team shotted to hell.
