My favourite mode and it has been relegated to a “sometimes” option in Action Sack (where it has to compete with very popular modes like Husky Raid and Ninja Assassins so you don’t even get to play it unless a miracle happens with the voting), but now it seems like it is completely gone, to be replaced by… ANOTHER GD Capture the Flag mode (Mini CTF or Shotgun CTF).

Are there not enough places for CTF fans to get their fix? Pretty much every playlist features CTF and it even has its own dedicated playlist.
I won’t be so brave to ask for a dedicated Ricochet playlist as I feel there are way too many playlist anyway, but PLEASE can’t we get something like a “Team Objective” playlist? Featuring Ricochet, Dominion, CTF (Remove CTF playlist) and KOTH in a 4v4 format. I really believe this playlist would be extremely popular.

Halo is like this on all games, I just bought 25 dollars worth of REACH DLC to get the achievements and the current playlists make the achievements impossible to get… Really you cant get them…
Honestly this is false advertising and a poor reflection on Halo, if you give the community dlc and achievements you must give the tools to acquire and play them.

There has been no false advertising whatsoever. 343 never promised that Ricochet would be permanent, and nowhere does it state this. All that the DLC did was give a 2 weeks early access to Ricochet in matchmaking before it went public. It was and never has been said that the playlist would never be removed or consolidated.
Which cheevo is unattainable on Reach? The Rocket Race one?
I really should learn my lesson on Halo DLC cheevos. I always wait until the next game is announced then try hunting them down. Reach still had a strong population a couple years ago, but H4 is damn near dead and even with full party boosting it takes quite a while to get the right maps/gametypes.
Most dlc ones, like anniversary, most of them I found have to be done on the map related to its map pack. but anniversary playlist only has anniversary classic.
Shame really, I wanted the 100 milestone before halo on xbox one comes out
like uh infect 3 humans, I do it all the time, but no cheevo, prob only on anniversary maps, but anniversary classic doesn’t have infection modes
It’s a shame there wasn’t more players playing Pitfall/Haven Ricochet to make it a permanent playlist. Loved it.
I’d happily vote for Ricochet if I didn’t get drowned out by Husky Raid.

It took me and a guy boosting probably 30 times searching in matchmaking to finally get a ricochet match that would allow us to get the Can’t Catch Me achievement.

IN over 50 rounds of Action Sack I have had Ricochet come up once in the voting since the latest update.
I really think my idea for a Team Objective playlist has huge merit and would like to see some support from it from people on here.

No offense but Reach came out four years ago, while they still do support the game with updates when needed and such it is a bit silly to buy DLC for the game four years after release and expect to be catered to. That time has come and gone unfortunately, I do agree with you that it sucks but…yeah. :I
Just keep it as a lesson, unless 343 changes their ways just don’t buy DLC for future titles unless you are guaranteed full support on them.
I fail to realize why things that have achievements and commendations are removed from the list. They say they can not give out the downloads for free because Microsoft will not allow free because of the achievements and you cant earn them either. I have no incentive to buy the add ons. Playlist has always seemed like some private club in all the games to me. Not the first time they have done this.
