Completed Maps: Foundry

DESCRIPTION: “Foundry” is a strong recreation of the classic Halo 3 multiplayer map called, “Foundry.” Built with replication in mind, this map attempts to reconcile every shape aspect of the original with the resources available; and, of course, it’s accompanied by a refreshing new color scheme. Although compromises had to be made, and some design liberties taken, members of the “old school” will discover, to their delight, the fond experience they shared many years ago remains intact for this forge iteration. The map supports all current game types, and its subsidiaries: team slayer, capture the flag, strongholds, breakout (max 8 players), and free for fall (max 6 players). While traditional game settings, no sprint or thrusters/ stabilizers, are recommended, the map can still support the newest mechanics offered in Halo 5’s sandbox.

Weapon changes (3):

  • Relocated the Covenant carbine of back-A to ground level.
  • Over shield power-up timers increased from 120 to 150 seconds.
  • Additional battle rifle spawn point placed at the bottom of B-wall, near the dirt mound.

  • Reduced plasma grenade pair count by one per spawn point.

Capture the flag (1): - Fixed an issue of both home base flag stands not spawning.

Free for all (1):

  • Resolved the issue of players repawning only in A-B side areas.

  • (No sprint) Added ledge jump spots near the vehicle bay doors.

  • Adjusted overhang support beams near the vehicle bay doors to avoid unnecessary player-object/ terrain collision.
  • Reworked blocks below the rocket launcher spawn point to allow a vision slit for each side.
