After much testing i can say forsure the reason why skips don’t work for unlocking achievements is because the Beacon towers aren’t loading in at all and aren’t registering as complete when skipping. Every other mission loads as complete but the Beacon towers don’t load at all. I wrote up a big post about how to speedrun LASO for the headmaster achievement that goes into more detail but basically if you want the achievement you have to first get to The sequence one you have the objective to go to the towers you can then skip to the road and do any other skip to beat the game. You can do the towers before the skip to the road or after you beat the game it doesn’t matter which it’s a sequence break. Once the towers are done and the game is done you will get the achievement.
Quick resume effects achievements. I recommend quitting the game all the way and opening it back up in order for things to register. There were a few sotry related achievements I did not get until my second playthrough.
Clicking “Continue” can effect Laso progress. I recommend loading the save manually each time.
Sometimes the achievements unlocks a day or a week after you have done them.
Iv’e gone through all levels on laso, kind of stuck now and can’t get past 4th wave on Harbinger :-/ No doubt I’ll get it with luck 1 day.
I didn’t want to risk skipping any missions, I used invincible glitch just to run around grabbing all the fob’s to make it easier moving around, looking back at it, levels and bosses were not so bad, just took patience.
it did this to me as well at one point, and probably messed up that LASO run. i had to redo it later on anyways so i didn’t find out. use load game only, og.
am i going to have to redo laso then
I did my run today again and the achievement has not appeared, still bugged
Just competed LASO but didn’t get the achievement. Didn’t do it in one sitting and definitely was hitting continue and not load when I would go back in.
I started the laso save I was using cloud gaming and switched to my Xbox and even though I had every skull checked when I loaded the save none of them were active and it was during house of reckoning
I just completed LASO , but only received the achievement for beating the campaign on legendary and heroic previously only playing on normal and not the LASO achievement. I used the tank gun for most of the playthrough, but did not use any other glitches like invincibility or level skips as they no longer work. I completed each level in order and went to each beacon on the sequence just as you would playing normally. I would manually load each time I played and ensure skulls were always active.
