I pre downloaded this game, for days I couldn’t wait to get in some halo 3 big team on sandtrap. When the night finally came that I was able to play, I was disappointed to find that there was no dedicated halo 3 big team. What’s worse is that there were no matches to be found. This was the first day though so i expected as much, the frustration came as i tried to play campaign coop online and couldn’t even join a friend playing in the next room over. In the weeks to come i looked forward to the updates, only to realize that when i finally got into a match i could not play consecutive games, only watch and wait as the game “creates teams” or leave and face a penalty. So i played halo ce campaign on legendary to kill some time and get a nice nameplate only, now that I have all missions beat on legendary I still don’t have the nameplate- now this may seem like nitpicking, but do you think I would give half a dingleberry if the rest of the game hadn’t been so royally bungled?! . FIX THE GAME there’s no excuse, right now it would be faster to play halo 3 on 360
I was lucky enough to get two days solid of multiplayer but today it’s back to the searching over and over for games and getting nowhere near a match. Horrible scenes.

- player count. 10 man Rumble/team slayer on Wizard = -Blamfest!-
- inbalenced team start 3v5, 3v7, 1v5, …
- Host is able to end games/boot people from matchmaking
- Games are being played on Peer servers instead of the dedicated server
- putting party members in enemy team
- dropping players when the match starts
- random host migration in custom games
- random co-op disconnects
- achievments that won’t unlock.
- …

my game works pretty well i only have 1 min wait times before a match on halo 3 playlist which is all i play on.
4 out of 5 matches found have been with me being short handed. The 5th was me having an extra man. 5 out of 5 have been lopsided. I’ve tried to stay positive but it just plain isn’t fun any more.
Dropdeadhorizon is right the game will be fixed. But posting crap about how it sucks isn’t helping anyone.

Sorry, but 343 has done very little to inspire confidence on so many levels:

Took over Reach from Bungie made little to no improvements on that title.

Released Halo: CE Anniversary and couldn’t be bothered to try to emulate the multiplayer component of that game due to some BS reasons, giving us instead reimagined maps but with frakking Reach gameplay instead. But funny thing that they could do so now…

Gave us a buggy Halo 4 with its lackluster mp and Spartan Ops that turned out to be nothing to write home about. Oh yeah, and two years later the game is still buggy, what with some glitched achievements, crappy netcode, broken file share and theater mode, ugh.

Dude bottom line is don’t release a broken game and then expect everyone to wait ten years to fix all the bugs. 343 is going to lose all their fan base or what little is left and halo will be dead for good.
I love Halo! Thanks Bungie for great gaming over the years. That said I have discovered some major bugs in the campaign of The Masterchief Collection. In the Truth and Reconciliation mission there was an elite stuck in the wall and screen tearing. Some major sound bugs on The Silent Cartographer Mission of a michine gun going off on a loop outside one othe structures.
People can white knight as much as they want. A content player base is not going to get the attention and hustle out of 343 as much as a pissed off player base.
Will they fix the problems eventually? Yes.
Will people who got refunds buy the game again once the problems are fixed? Maybe.
Is this a lesson for 343? Yes.
Everyone raging on these forums have every right to. Business wise, this product was fail. Yes it was a fail before all you white knights come in. Numerous refunds and a let down playerbase…
Countless vets were so hyped up to pick that controller back up and spend hours upon hours re living the CE days or the speed infused play of Halo 2 on XBL with their friends. This product is broken and unfinished, that is a true fact. There is no justifiable reason to white knight on their behalf. You’re just letting them give it to you raw…
Its been a downward spiral, in my opinion as far as multiplayer goes. One thing good that is coming out of all this is that 343 is making an effort to change, but unfortunately I’ve always wondered why they have never released a multiplayer beta in order to test out technical issues and player feedback. Bungie has always released a beta. It also does provide them a chance to tack on exclusive beta privileges to new title games players can purchase like Bungie did with Crackdown. I personally didn’t care for Crackdown, but I rationalized it by well its something until I can play beta. I’m at least glad they’re going to have a multiplayer beta for Halo 5, but with this disastrous launch of H2 Anniversary, I can’t help but feel bitter and unwilling to put down more money for a disappointment.
I dont know how many posts I have put but either way this game sucks the big one. Besides the continuous issues that have not been resolved even with the useless patches I am even more upset at the fact that I have been playing ranked now trying to improve my rank and for the fourth time I have been reverted back to lvl 1. I would have been at a damn lvl 30 by now but what do you expect with a broken piece of crap of a halo game. Bungie why in the heck did you allow these guys to make a fool of the legendary Halo games. I don’t think this game can be fixed. Going on a month and still no results of improvement. All the patches have been a waste of time for everyone. This last patch made the game even worst. Seriously recall the damn thing. I would rather have a recall and relaunch of an actual finished product instead of this bull crap. For you people who continue to defend…you are idiots. Research and you will see that this has to be the biggest and most epic fail of a launch for true gamers. Especially halo fans who have been so looking forward to something like this. A lot of the posts seem to be angry at the matchmaking glitches. I just wanted to be able to play the campaign, and can’t even save in the middle of a level. When restarting you either get a completely black screen with sound fx, or just taken back to the start of the level. This seems really basic to me for games which, basically, have already been made & released. Makes it all quite boring to have to just keep starting again.
I like the fact that some people are standing up for the company as I’m sure they’re doing their best. But I don’t expect to go to the movies and be told that the end isn’t finished so I’ll have to come back tomorrow & start again from the beginning, and by the way if i don’t have time to get to the end I’ll have to start again the next day. Especially for a film I first saw several years ago!
There really isn’t an excuse I’m afraid for this level of problems. If it’s not ready, don’t release it and you’ll just have to make your half a billion dollars a bit later after you’ve finished the work.
Please stop taking advantage of loyal customers, you are losing their goodwill for what I hope will be more outstanding games to come in the future.
PS having had my rant, please fix the game not saving at checkpoints as first mentioned!
There are some major problems wrong with the campaign. Firstly, some terminals do not work on the campaign. second, two cut scenes are not viewable which are the 2end squad pelican going down and the ending where the arbiter and lock are about to go into battle even played on legendary difficulty. Third, if you choose to save and quit the game and return later sometimes it will come to a black picture and you can not play. When you pause the game you can see the picture but that’s it. Fourth, on the quarantine mission when you meet up with the elites it freezes makes a very big sound and returns you to the main menu. Honestly, I do not understand why none of the updates fix these problems.
This is limited i have never played a more broken game. i understand sometimes things cant be controlled but when the things that are broken are the most used and most common things thats inexcusable. the party system, matchmaking, losing connection to game sessions, H2A is nothing close to the real Halo 2 all H2A is, is a look alike it looks like halo 2 but plays like -Yoink- the BR is not accurate to the original BR the damage is terrible, the same can be said of the other weapons the SMG/Magnum combo used to be one of the strongest combos in the game and it is terrible now same with the SMG/PR combo, The shotgun when fired is not even hitting inside of the aiming reticle. This game is 100% FAIL when it comes to the multiplayer.
We deserve as a consumer of this product to have some sort of reimbursement cause when this game was release we all thought we was getting a complete game not a game we would have to wait for the proper patches to come out to play multiplayer. They should give all the people that bought this game 20$ in xbox currency to pay for all the aggravation this game is causing.
