I made a forum post earlier this evening about the master chief collection and people feeling angry over the bugs and problems that have plagued the game since launch. I believe that all of you have a fair reason to be angry over these issues.
I do want to say a few other things that seem quite relevant. I have been feeling quite betrayed as a fan of the halo franchise since Halo 4. I have been up and down supporting 343 for mistakes they have made for a few years. And when it comes to the master chief collection I think it is extremely disgusting to see that the company cannot sort out the problems that they have been allowing to happen for almost 3 weeks now? 10 years ago bungie had little to no problems running a game being run on a primitive console, and they mean to tell me that they cannot run the game correctly on the Xbox one? Come on… XBC on PC can run a bootlegged h2 on an outdated mess of a server, so what is the issue.
I understand everyone’s frustrations and I hope that things are fixed because this is the last Halo game I am pre ordering and playing. Period… I made that promise with advanced warfare, and I will not go back on that. I am sick of the way 343 is ruining Halo, and the fact they have rights to the game is giving them all the power to ruin something that wasn’t theirs and shouldn’t have ever become theirs.
They released a broken game and then lied about not being able to detect the thousands of bugs. I’ll hate all I want. After all, I paid $500 to play this mess.

Then I will say to you, you bought an Xbox one for every wrong reason. I don’t recall this being intentional, they have lost a lot of revenue due to the issues with the game. An 8 figure company doesn’t make these choices intentionally to lose money.
Everyone is entitled to their own views and opinions whether its defending 343 or hating, There seems to be a lot of White Knights on both sides of the fence.
Then take your games back to the store you bought them from. If you haven’t kept the receipts, that’s your own mistake. Complaining 1-10 times a day isn’t going to speed up fixing your game.
Err no, if you get an hamburger that doesn’t have the ingredients the restaurant are selling and offering you, you will complain or eat just the bread?
They deserve the punishment that The Arbiter received after destroying thousands of human worlds, he got punishment for the ring getting destroyed. Maybe quitting their job or firing the people responsible, starting with the head studio.
Halo 4 launch was a mess too, imagine Halo 5 or the Beta.

Even if the game was in perfect working order somehow the forums are never as good as the game itself. People seem to hate pretty much everything halo has to offer. This dates back to bungie days. Complaining about every little thing you can cook up in your heads. even if it not constructive things You are to blame for your own actions.

Call Xbox live support and ask them for a refund. Your game doesn’t work right? Tell them you cannot play it whatsoever. It wasn’t what you expected and you can’t do anything with it.
Your post is nicely said, but I have few issues with it.
First, like said above, you said that the same isn’t perfect and, again, nobody expected perfect. It was so far from “perfect” on release that it truly felt like a beta build.
Next, you said that the problems can’t be fixed overnight. Once again, nobody expected overnight. Week 3 is fast approaching, and 2 major content updates later, the game is still severely lacking in terms of quality. Yes, search times are better. Yes “not everyone” is having a terrible experience. And yes, CAMPAIGN. But to say it’s unreasonable for us to expect the game to work 3 weeks after launch is… well, unreasonable.
I agree that certain people are childish and complain too much and whatnot, but adding 100’s of posts saying “Be nice to 343 stop complaining” to the 100’s of complaining posts just creates a cycle that gets tiresome.

You can’t defend this game. It doesn’t work. People are defending other human beings, which is admirable. Stockholm syndrome sad, but admirable.
“It is one of the most difficult jobs in the gaming industry in my opinion” - is this a completely baseless assumption or do you have the necessary experience to back this up?
It will be a “major feat” once it works, perhaps. If YOU are able to see how hard it is to incorporate all these games into 1 disk, I’m damn sure 343 had the hindsight and resources to anticipate and tackle these obviously foreseeable obstacles. Otherwise they would not of attempted it or spent longer perfecting and testing it. Stop being so damn childish.

I’m to the point that I don’t give a damn what everybody else thinks. Those who want to be Baron Von Butthurt and rage against 343 Industries and accuse of this, that, or the other should go write a blog rather than clog the forums with thousands of garbage posts that don’t help fix anything. I understand that people are disgruntled to say the least. I share their feelings, but I’m not going to waste time complaining about it. I will discuss the game with people and I’ll report bugs that I encounter. If anyone starts bashing 343 to the extent that they wish ill will against the company or even death on the staff personally, I will report those users as needed.
I get that people are pissed, but there are lines that you DO. NOT. CROSS.

I did. I was denied. I gave the entire spiel, was on for a while.
FYI … I believe Microsoft has been granting what it calls a “one-time” refund for any reason, not because TMCC is broken. Since I already got a preorder reversed, I was told I had “used” my refund slot for the year. Microsoft is so shady in the area of digital purchases, it makes the revolt from last year such a good thing to have happened. Imagine Microsoft having control of all of our games, physical or digital.

Wait he bought an Xbox One for the worng reason, how? To replay the old games he loves what is wrong with that?
