Competitives & Casuals, the HALO COMMUNITY...

And so another depressing day on the forums ensues, with competitives screaming and yelling about how they know what will work and why Halo 4 isn’t Halo etc etc and on the other we have the Casuals which make up a large majority of the community (not really represented online).

Why have i created this thread? I have created it to face reality and to try and find a way to stop this community from tearing itself apart.

The first thing i need to get clear of is this, NO SIR you DO NOT know what’s best for the series, no one does. It’s easy to say things in hindsight but unless you do something it’ll be impossible to know. That also goes for the “progressives”. People, we need to stop acting like spoilt children and deal with the facts here, if 343 had of done things a different way, there would be alot of people STILL unhappy. The only reason the forums seem flooded with negativity is because a majority of forum users are the self rightious competitive type, who do nothing except serve their own interests.

The second thing is actually about 343i itself. Alot of you claim they aren’t listening, when in fact they have stated in bulletins that they have seen the forum posts and they arent ignoring you.
What you guys need to realise is that in ANY release, BUGS COME FIRST, so dont expect to much else until that’s fixed.

The final thing is this, Halo 3 and Reach both had these same reactions on the forums, i’ve seen it all before, so just know that what your doing is not out of the ordinary. People dont like change, its a psychological thing. That said, a series that doesnt change, doesn’t grow and unfortunatly for Halo… CoD IS the King and will remain so, it caters to a majority of Xbox Live owners, Halo does not. Using the online numbers as proof of failure is not only a logical fallacy but actually has no solid ground. Nothing has one cause, nothing, and until we can get more statistics, there’s no point in using that as proof of anything.

Biased poll is biased.

I would thank you 100 times OP…if the “thanks” button would just work for me.

So much truth on Christmas, its just unbelievable. Could this finally be a decent day here?

It just gets a little rediculous. And yes to the person above the poll is biased… to what i think the options are

No serious poll?

You get no serious answer.

So you criticize people who find flaws and compile reasons why they consider them to be flaws… are also passionate enough to bring this information to a open forum for discussion… Yet praise those who don’t care, play, leave, play and leave?

How about you go to those threads that you think are just screaming and yelling quote their main points/ reasons and actually debate and share what information you believe is contrary… You know, pretend this is a forum and stuff

Actually yeah, that sounds more like “competitives and casuals” or “The Comunity” coming together, gathering information and forming place where a General Direction/ Consensus if you will.

So please, stop this nonsense of trying to silence one side or the other of any argument with anything other than evidence to topic at hand.

I didn’t really have an option here so I chose option one. Although I don’t want to “spam” I simply want this game to improve and get it back to the standards of what Halo CE-3 were. It’s quite upsetting to see what’s happened to my favourite Gaming series, It’s been my Favourite since I was 10, I got Halo 2 for Christmas the Year it came out, It was my first Halo game and I’ve loved Halo since then.

I would stay up all night in the Holidays and in the weekends playing Halo 2 and 3, even Reach, this game? The most I’ve played it in one day is 5 hours. I’ve not touched Halo 4 in two weeks now, the Ironic thing is I’m enjoying Black Ops 2 more than I am Halo 4.

You claim that I don’t know whats best for the game, but I do. I know that a visible skill rank is what could save this game.

> Biased poll is biased.

If you want serious answers, give a poll that is not 100% biased to your own opinion.

I think I know a couple things good for the game.

Give it MORE stuff. Give it MORE customs, a ranking system, playlists, etc. We need these.

> You claim that I don’t know whats best for the game, but I do. I know that a visible skill rank is what could save this game.

Okay im gonna have to say something here.

Visible rank is just a number, its your performance that counts. if you perform well in most of the games you played, then you actuly have it to back up the rank. I may not be a rank player, but I know the number is an equivilent to bragging rights.

also to note what may be funf or you won’t be fun for others.
Also, calling the OP biased makes you no more biased yourself.

Now look im not completley satisfied with Halo 4 eithe. I lost somehting to. but Im not gonna bash the game for that.

and tot hsoe who enjoy the game. the competitors have a right to their opinon and they are entitled to it like everyone else. but hopefully Halo r will ahve what most of the fans like on both sides.

Sure my Skills arn’t good/ I actuly suck at halo. but I play it cause I like it. it may not be the compeitior players idea of fun. but Im still having fun with Halo 4. I’ll look forward to 5 and 6. and someday I’ll comeback to Halo 3 just to jump in the nastolgia pool.

Also am I the only one who voted on the “Wait” option?. but yeah you could make it alittle unbiased.

Opinions aren’t wrong or right, and this poll is just the op’s opinion. Also, the poll is heavily biased, and I don’t appreciate people like this trying to shut down people who are trying to help halo 4 become a better game. And yes, it’s to make it better for themselves, because they are the CONSUMER. They are paying for the game and if 343i has any sense of being a good company, they will meet the needs of those consumers to pull them back in for halo 5.

Also, if you say people are so against change and shouldn’t be, then why do you care wether or not the community tries to change the game a little now? You seem to be contradicting yourself a bit here, maybe you should stop before it gets ugly.

Merry Christmas!

This game has given them everything and more.

What people need to understand is, the Original Halo’s were naturally competitive and everyone loved it, this game has been purely catered towards very poorly skilled players.

You’re saying that Halo 4 doesn’t cater to the same people that play COD, but that couldn’t be any farther from the truth.

probably cause games like halo are for having fun. people play it cause they like it.

however a game tha caters to both is alot better than one that caters to one over the other. a happy medium if thats what you wanna call it.

Dude, this quote is hilarious and so full of itself. Why? Because EVERY game is for fun, and anyone playing a video game is doing it for fun, Fun is subjective, I and many others find winning, playing hard, doing well, improving in skill fun, I also damn well love custom games madness, this game has neither of those.

this is all i have to say
so…a hardcore gamer hates a casual for playing a game for fun…as it was intended…seems legit -_-

Stop being full of yourself.
