"Competitive" Spawn System

I don’t understand how you could possibly have competitive in this game when I spawn and literally cant move because I get -Yoinking!- shot as soon as I get into it. Seriously what the -Yoink-? How long has this game been out again? And to think I was starting to enjoy this game again. Just one 5 too many -Yoink- spawns in one game. It’s just ridiculous when I spawn on my dead -Yoinking!- body just to get shot again. Please fix this so I can not hate you D: Srsly tho, I enjoy the game. This is small, but this is the second time I’ve literally just decided to put it down because it’s really killing the game for me. Probably going to take another week long break.

You spawn based on where other people are on the map. Truth for example lets say the other team has one person in red base one person in red bubble another one in blue bubble and someone on P2. They are blocking those spawns by being there meaning you will spawn on blue base or under blue base maybe even Blue P street.
Nothing wrong with the spawns, some people are just really good at blocking and collapsing.

Actually, I would disagree with…

Players should not be able to block and collapse spawns… This is the root of the rage in the first place. Spawns should be more randomized and impossible to allow block. People shouldn’t be able to be “good” at controlling where players can spawn. If they truly need to do this to get kills it reveals how troubling it must be to play how everyone else does. SMH.

You’d probably rage at competitive CE, lol.

Controlling spawns has been a thing since the beginning and it’s a part of competitive play. You work to control spawns which in turn controls the map in your team’s favor and the other team has to work to break their map control and then do it to them. Randomized spawns sounds awful on these maps. Imagine controlling the map and then the enemy spawns right behind you. It happens now on occasion and it sucks.

No, spawn control is part of Halo and part of competitive play. Being able to predict and lock down spawns to limit enemy movement is part of the game. You can’t expect better players to not use whatever tricks and skills they know to win, or else it would not be competitive.

The thing is, you shouldn’t be able to predict and physically RUN to a spawn location and kill someone within 3 seconds of their spawn.

Twice, in the short time I played yesterday, on Regret, I spawned in the back of the base, with an enemy running through the door directly in front of me, maybe 15m away. Later in the match I was the guy catching an enemy spawning and I scored a cheap close-range kill on him. Spawning in Oven on Molten, maybe 5m away, I’ve had guys running up the stairs to my right shooting me near immediately, when I’m nowhere close to prepared…

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE… it’s one thing if you’re predicting spawns with a sniper and positioning yourself to maybe score some quick kills from a distance, but you shouldn’t be able to just AR a guy off spawn, where they can’t hardly even take 2 steps without getting pressured.

Spawners, ideally, deserve a chance to at least orient themselves on the map without stressful encounters. Sniping is different… players at least have the space, and the spawn killer has established a high-level of control. Just running around the map and stumbling across people spawning is NOT establishing control over anything. Underserved kills…

Spawn blocking and such is fine. It’s always been a thing in Halo. What I hate is the spawns that are in CLEAR view of opposition. I shouldn’t be able to spawn and be in clear sightlines of say a sniper… Or at least try to minimize this.

Thats another skill that separates people who just have good aim. Good aim in halo is not going to win you games alone and i like that.

They could also keep competitive spawning where it belongs, you know, IN COMPETITIVE…
I’d rather like a random spawn in BTB thank you very much…or in Super Fiesta.

True that. One time one the sanghelios map I got spawned in between 2 steep unclimbable ledges and a enemy player with a binary rifle sitting at the end. It was beyond stupid especially since the guy was litterally -Yoink- with me because he started shooting me in the leg over and over again until he accidentally killed me. And don’t say that he “might” have bad aim because I saw him pop off 3 guys in a row in the death chat.

Ive never found random spawning fun…in any game mode besides the action sack playlist

That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, this is definitely the root of all rage and should be fixed, I really don’t enjoy the game anymore, I just get angry enough for my kids to feel like the parents :joy:

I’ve never had to worry about this in any other Halo games, just 4 and 5

Random spawns would break the game and make it unbalanced though. Say I’m in p2 I just finished an exchange and I’m recovering shields and someone spawns right next to me. That’s dumb and more people would rage tbh. The spawn trap is only really present in high tier. So more than likely more people would rage with random spawns.

Sorry to say it but the higher you get in competetive Halo, the more you realize that this is exactly what you need to be good at. Controlling spawns.

Then you haven’t played enough high ranking teams.

Please don’t revive old topics, thanks
