Here is what the “anti-rank” community is saying:
Premise
- Competitive players wanted a ranking system
- 343i says ranking system will be implemented
Conclusion:
3) Competitive players should be happy, they got what they wanted. Stop complaining.
Here’s why this is wrong.
Premise 1) is too vague. Competitive players wanted a Halo 2/Halo 3 style ranking system implemented, and that meant IN-GAME visibility.
Premise 2) does not fulfill what competitive players have been arguing all this time.
Therefore the conclusion is false…
And to show how obviously wrong this theory is, I’ll plug in Halo reach.

- Bungie implemented Arena
Conclusion:
3) Competitive players should be happy, and stop complaining.
I don’t care what they do… As long as you don’t DE-rank every Freaking game!!!

The way it stands it is the same as Reach. Only visible in Waypoint.
IE: The same problem.
I can live with this as long as it is based on win/lose and not meaningless stats like KDR. That will just promote power weapon -Yoink!- and lone wolf style gameplay.
