Competitive Playlists please.

Can you stop putting all your time in to Spartan Ops and releasing new maps and instead give your competitive community something to play? The only time I get on Halo anymore is when I’m doing v1 customs because your play lists are the opposite of competitive. You don’t force casual players to play competitive play lists so why force competitive players to play casual play lists. A Game Battles playlist with the V1 settings has to come out or Team Slayer Pro within the next month or I totally give up on this game ever being good. You have had 3 months and the only thing you have done is come out with 2 Map Packs and Spartan Ops.

Arena Playlists should have been included from the get go, BR Slayer, Classic Slayer or at least some playlists with non-random ordinance. Infinity Slayer is such a drastic departure from classic competitive balance it is silly. Class based shooters can be competitive but 343 seem to have made an extended effort to remove competitive elements from the game and reduce skill gap.

This.

More small competitive maps, perhaps a sandbox TU.

But the most important thing for a competitive player is a playlist where those come together! Slayer pro 2 must have as much small, arena-like maps as possible (the best forges out there!) and a competitive gametype, such as MLG v1.

If 343i isn’t going to give us MLG, they have to give something of their own that is just as balanced and competitive if they don’t want their competitive community to just… leave… after they are sick of putting customs together.

Slayer Pro or an MLG style playlist needs to come soon or I won’t be able to stick around much longer. This isn’t a threat of any sort like the tons that are on the forums, I am just getting sick of playing the same people in customs over and over again. I can’t enjoy Infinity Slayer because of Instant Spawns, Jet packs, Ordinances, ect ect. I completely and totally understand they need to have playlists for the casual community because every game does. They are just leaving us competitive players out of the picture though. They didn’t force Casuals in to the Arena Playlist in Reach, so why force us Competitive Players in to the casual style playlists?

I’m so in support of this statement other than they want to remove competitive play. I just think they aren’t well versed in the area so it takes them a little longer to get something out there for us. It will come, I have faith in them.

I’ve had faith in them for months now and nothing has changed. Gho57Ayame gave them the v1 settings on January 1st and there is still no MLG/Gamebattles playlist out yet. I get they aren’t partnered with MLG but they can still have a Gamebattles playlist since they share the exact same settings. The v1 settings are everything a competitive gamer could dream of. (Other than instant Respawns but that’s on 343’s end of the deal to fix.)
