Please go away with your pistol start. That gun is 10 times to stronh in this game

If the magnum was weaker like Reach and the other weapons are the same as they are now you guys would probably be complaining about the AR.

There will always be something that someone’s complaining about.

I liked Reach’s magnum. I won plenty of games with it in FFA.

For the OP, not sure why you think people won’t try in AR games since you can make any gametype competitive if you wanted to.

All of halo is sweaty! The only time I get causal matches is really late at night when people are sleepy

Was Reach’s M6G weak?

I didn’t like the Reach sandbox prior to the Title Update as there was so much random bullet spread due to bloom and, of course, no BR. However, after the (final) Title Update that noticeably reduced (or removed) bloom plus adjusted damage for the inclusion of shield bleed-through I really came to appreciate the M6G weapon; specifically, the zero bloom version which was no longer treated as a secondary weapon.

What can I say, the (final) TU Reach M6G was a pretty damn solid weapon. It was a 5-shot optimal kill similar to the Halo 5 standard and tactical M6H plus the Halo 4 Flagnum. Since Halo 5’s standard and tactical M6H don’t really suffer from random spread Reach’s zero bloom M6G variant is yet even more similar. I just don’t know if Reach’s M6G had a faster firing speed. If it did it would actually make it more lethal than H5’s standard and tactical M6H – at least regarding Optimal TTK. I’m not clear on how similar their Red-Reticle-Ranges (RRRs) are, but I feel like the Reach M6G had a shorter hip-fire RRR. It did have a 2x magnification “zoom” when scoping so maybe it received more RRR there… maybe. The standard H5 M6H is given a 1.75x magnification “zoom” when smart-linking. The tactical H5 M6H is given a 2.0x magnification “zoom” when scoping. And we know the RRR distances for those M6H pistols. We just don’t know Reach’s M6G, but nevertheless I don’t think its fair to say that the (final) TU Reach M6G was weak. It clearly is one of the most powerful Magnums in the Halo franchise.

True. I am frustrated at the crouch fest fiesta has become but continued racking up the wins AND having less fun…because i joined the crouching dbags. At someones suggestion tried rock and rail playlist and the game itself discourages camping. Not as fun as old fiesta but definitely much less frustrating than crouchfest fiesta.

You remembered a lot more about it than me. Only thing I really remember is regularly beating people with it when they were using the DMR. Not sure on the firing rate although I’m leaning towards it being faster, but bloom kind of negated that due to having to pace your shots.
