Competitive Players want the Best for Halo 4.

I’m sick and tired of the MLG and competitive players being made into the enemy… as if they are trying to sabotage Halo 4, even when constructive criticism is made about Halo 4… Competitive players are shot down by other so called “Fans” and are labelled as “Haters” or “Complainer”… and Frankly it makes me Sick. Competitive players don’t want derail Halo 4… by making it super competitive… they want the game to be fun for Everyone Social and Competitive Players alike.

Recognising Mistakes In Reach.
Some fans have recognised that the same mistakes that were made in Halo: Reach, are being repeated in Halo 4… Such as Overpowered AA’s (Promethean Vision) these were mistakes that were also made in Reach, and Since we want Halo 4 to be a Success. We are letting 343 and the Rest of the community know about this via the forums… It’s not like we want to Relive Halo 2 + 3 over and over again and want ZERO change… we just want a fair, fun and Competitive gaming environment in Halo 4. Is that too much to ask?

Ranking System.
Again, we don’t 1-50 (Or a Ranking system Like it) because we want a re-hash of Halo 2 + 3… Over and Over. We want it because it was a very effective ranking system and we know it works well… It the best way (That we Know of) to make sure that players are matched together are EQUAL Skill and give this chance for players to improve… New players are matched up with new players and Experienced Players are matched together also. It’s not perfect but its problems could easily be fixed

Playing for Fun?
Apparently Casual players don’t care about the game… True? they just want to have fun… BREAKING NEWS: Everybody plays the game for fun! Whether your a Pro MLG are a Social Player everyone plays the game for fun… Its not like MLG players are forcing themselves to play with tears rolling down their eyes… Everyone plays Halo (and Games) for fun whether its just a social environment or a Competitive setting.

Professional Sports players plays competitively… are they not enjoying themselves?

Casual Players Don’t care. Right?
If you don’t care what Halo 4 is like, and are going along with the flow. Why do you care that other players care about what Halo 4 is like? Whatever Halo 4 is Like it’s not going to affect your experience in the Slightest. And like I said we don’t want to sabotage Halo 4… We want the best for everyone. Why are you stopping us?

Halo 3 - I was a Casual Player
Halo 3 was my FIRST online Shooter. Before then I had never played on Xbox live, I was the most Casual Player you could find in Halo 3… Did I care about the ranking system? Nope. did it affect me? Not in the slightest? Did I care about Movement Speed? BR Spread? Equipment? Nope, and if those things were changed or removed… Guess what?

I wouldn’t care… Or care to Notice

Discuss. This is only my opinion.

I disagree with the you saying casual gamers are obstructing competitive players from improving the game

Really? From my experience most Competitive gamers pretty much demand that the game be changed to suit their needs. Which most of them have been doing ever since Halo 4 was announced.

Insert insults about wanting a Halo 3.5 here _______________________

I’m going to play the game myself before I judge though.

> I disagree with the you saying casual gamers are obstructing competitive players from improving the game

The why everytime that someone suggests that “We don’t want Bloom” for example… that person is told to “Adapt” or “Play Halo 3”.

And when questioned into why they want bloom? they are told they “Don’t care” or “Im a True fan”… Im sorry these People are stopping progress for Halo 4

Id go more along the lines of demanding it to not put in game breaking features, or pointless ones.

See: weapon unlocks.

to be honest on these forums it seems that casuals are attacked much more than competitive gamers

Competitive players are only trying to improve aspects of the actual gameplay. The casuals are too distracted by bells and whistles.

Competitive players just want the game to be balanced and fair. How does anyone have a problem with the game being balanced and fair?

Its ok outgunnd I stand along side with your opinion.
The game needs to be FUN, bottom line.
But making seperate playlists, ranks, etc. will keep the competition alive for a longer time.

Who cares about MLG, really?

There is such a thing as learning from past mistakes you know? Just because it was in Halo Reach doesn’t mean it can’t be fixed or balanced. Promethean vision is just a fancy radar. You don’t need it to be a good player. It is just a waste of space considering you will have the same exact thing at the bottom corner of your screen.

Competitive players want the options to make the game play the way they would enjoy the most.

I wish someone would kill all the casual players on this planet.

As if THEY know what’s best for Halo.

Whenever a “competitive” player suggests a change, the “casual” players jump all over them and demand that they accept change. As the OP clearly stated, the “competitive” player wanted what was best for the game. All points made by the OP are valid and accurate.

Competitive players are “demanding” that the game be changed because they have a better understanding of what works and what doesn’t work. It’s not about “their needs”; it’s about what’s best for the game’s success.

Because without something to even out the DMR, it will be overpowered and will easily beat any starting weapon you can spawn with, considering both the DMR and the BR take the same amount of shots to kill, but the BR has recoil.

That’s entirely false. Go to any thread with casuals and competitives fighting. Not only do casual posts have millions of “Thanks”, but I’ve been called names and been PM’d countless times for supporting competitive ideas. The word “-Yoink-” comes up a lot, and it’s used primarily by the casual community.

This is 100% true.

I consider myself a competitive player thats decently good and i love to win. The other thing i love to do is forge and play infection custom games.

It pisses me off when i have evidence a game mechanic wont work in halo 4, such as bloom (for example). They say “we dont want halo 3.5”. Well i got news for you, neither do competitive players. So some people need to get off their highhorse on that argument.

Just because competitive players dont praise 343i for every change doesnt mean we want the same damn game every year either, you know? You cant sit their and tell me things like custom loadouts, perks, weapon skins, distraction medals, riot shields, bloom, and longer kill times are there to make the game more skillful.

That is a threat/attack against other posters and is against forum rules.

Ive seen this happen as well: Someone says that they think custom loadouts will work and then a “competitive” player will say that he is a dumb casual who doesn’t know anything and should play cod if he wants loadouts.
