whats the point of calling something rank then you have players either telling you “its just a game”
or even thinking you’re being too extra for taking comms serious? …like shouldnt those type of players not be there in the first place?
if they’re gonna find it annoying when there is a player asking him why he isnt saying call outs or why does he keep pushin in alone ?
i shouldnt have to feel like being competitive on a competitive playlist is wrong cuz to me thats where the fun is at…and if its just a bad game then ok i get it , atleast hide for the team so you dont give the other team kills…whenever i have a bad game i just hide and appreciate the carry …ive only seen one player actually hide for us and didnt even take it the wrong way …i dont know when ill find another player like that again but yea unrank players,yall need to pick the right gametype
oh and its possible to still be competative with out a mic …you could read it off a players movement style easily when you can tell if hes competative or not…its when the rest of the team that aint doing there part when a micless player has to connect the mic
I think a big issue is the Free to Play model. Previous Halo games in general demanded that all players play competitively but the new Free to Play model tells the newer casual players to come have fun for just a weekend and 8 times out of 10, those random, new, and free players don’t give a flying hoot about playing competitively. They just want to play something free and have fun for a little while.
You can’t have one foot in the door and the other foot out of the door, you’re going to get pinched somewhere at some point. It’s either competitive arena shooter built for delivering gameplay or a casual game that was primarily designed to sell digital cosmetics in an in-game store. Halo Infinite chose to aggressively monetize the Halo franchise instead of improving upon it’s successes.
Your best bet to enjoy the competition side of Halo is to find like-minded players in a Group search on Xbox or try to gather your friends or other players on a forum or some other website. Solo play is primarily polluted with free to play casuals who don’t have anything invested into Halo.
How can i talk when theres no option to bind push to talk on controller for Inf pc? Its very impractical to use open mic as im generally talking around the house, ect and background noise. If i press V on keyboard while using controller it stops all movement for 2.5seconds… But console version has this option for controller.
343 doesn’t encourage communication. First, you don’t see who is talking. So “one shot on my x” is pretty useless. Second, the ping system. And third… no one cares about ranked due to the BS CSR/MMR combination. Playing alone, ranking up is pretty much impossible once you are locked in your rank. In the end, there is no price for playing good… people simply don’t care about it.
Yeah ngl one of the main reasons I don’t ever play ranked with randoms/at all or talk ever is when I would say what’s up or something to see if any one had mics I’d get people telling me to “go f myself or s t f u”, I’ve also had bad experiences in placement matches with teammates deliberately killing me so… I guess no ranked and no coms for me. It’s a real shame too because when I was younger I never experienced any of that, everyone was just chill.
