I have some really sad news for All types of players from the bottom casuals all thee way to the top. I have asked a bunch of times with no response and have watched the multiplayer sessions to the select few have gotten the game early. Now its not definitive but from what ive seen there will be no observer/Moderator slot. This means there can be no tournaments. There can be no eSports. There can be no watching friends play it out in 1v1s on 1v1 maps. There can be no streaming competitive play. There will be no youtube videos of high level 1v1s or 2v2s ex ex. I dont know how this cannot be in the game. Its an RTS. Every other RTS in existence has this and its one of the biggest things needed to keep a community together and generating media content for the game. I really hope I missed something and its actually in the game because of how super excited I am to get my hands on this game and play it until my heart stops. But without this feature I believe the game will plateau in the first few months like HW1. If its in the game please disregard this whole post. If not. Please 343… Add this…Its incredibly needed…

I dont know. I honestly hope ske7ch or someone comes in this post and says what i said is untrue. I have never wanted to be called a liar by someone until today… lol
it might come about in the future to be coop with HSC as there might be just small handful of team competitive that were created or invited to play an esport exhibition match to see how it go for possible HWSC RTS comp. it something for halo fan that like to see an RTS gameplay, it be tricky.
As a note, this won’t mean it’ll be dead on arrival, and smart people have external capture devices for the Xbox One or PC to be able to record the match from at least their perspective. Besides if there’s no plan to use HW2 for tournaments, why add in said feature?

This feature may not have made the final cut, hopefully it’s added in quickly after launch, Halo 5 Forge style. With less of a delay.
Well, Halo Wars 2 is a relatively simplistic game in a genre that isn’t currently very strong in the esports world right now. I never expected to see any sort of competitive play from it.

Just another huge let down, I’m starting to get use to it for halo wars 2.
Things I bet they wont have:
FFA mode
Replays
Ladder system (90%confirmed)
Observer mode(90% confirmed)
Don’t worry, that horrid cash cow called Blitz is there! they’ve put countless hours into that!
There’s only one true number one player we don’t need Esports to figure that out…

Indeed and there is twitch and such on PC. Plenty of opportunities.

Not everyone has a good enough connection to stream man 
If you ever watched/Played starcraft or command and conquer you would understand
Its the ability to watch the game from an observer point of view. This Is completely different.

It’s 2017, you’d be hardpressed to find a connection that wasn’t good enough to view streams. When I was stationed in Iran 6 years ago I was still able to wirelessly stream in the middle of the desert.
From what I’ve seen the game looks geared toward casual play with big battles in the center of the map and big super units. Units themselves don’t appear to do really any damage at all, and leader powers dish out excessive amount of damage. On top of that there doesn’t appear to be any source of viable harass and turrets dish out large amounts of damage relative to their cost. I’m really disappointed; I just wish they would listen to the input from the competitive community.

Even if everyone could stream. It doesnt fix the big problem here. Like i said. You must not be a big RTS player outside Halo wars of you dont understand what im saying
