FalcoDrac here. I am a member of “Delusions of Grandeur” and an MLG Halo veteran. I am looking for the right person to fill an open spot on our competitive, Halo 5 online team. At the bottom of this post, I have provided a link to the MLG forum thread we posted late last year just after Halo 5 released, as well as a link to our Halowaypoint post. Between these 2 community threads, we obtained nearly 70 replies / whispers and tried out half that many players before finding the right 4th.
Unfortunately, we are now down a member once again and are eagerly looking to find a 4th once more. We are a mature, seasoned team that is highly competitive, but also friendly. We are in search for a member that can share 100% in our beliefs, gameplay mindset, and skill level, but also bring something new to the table. We strive not to play too aggressively, or too passively, and look for the right stride each game. We time our powerups and push weapons, hold spawns, and move together. We play Arena and Slayer, and plan to match up gamebattles matches and scrimmages to help us improve. We strategize to the best of our abilities and we strive to listen and respond to team criticism. All-in-all, we’re the whole package, but need a reliable, consistent, objective-based, slayer-capable player that matches our mature personalities also.
We all have full-time day-time jobs and play during EST hours. We aim to play every Tuesday / Thursday / Sunday evening starting at 7:00pm EST, but often play outside of these hours also. We have no immediate plans to attend LAN tournaments, but are willing to entertain the idea should we find the right 4th, and reach the level of team chemistry we used to have during Halo 3 days. We plan to tryout each candidate through a process involving a brief online discussion, some custom games, and finally some online playlist games. This team is a close-knit group that has agreed to exchange cell phone numbers so as to reach each other quickly. Some of us have been playing together for nearly 8 years. Attributes we will be expecting of any new member will be patience, humor, skill, availability, and criticism. Should a member fall short of any of these qualities, we will terminate candidacy quickly and not drag anyone on for an extended period of time. Cliché aside, we are looking for a Spartan to jump in, feet first.
