Remember they days when Halo 3 gamers worked endless hours with multiple friends to try and get the holy grail - a 50 in Halo 3? Microsoft and Bungie were right in stopping this kind of ranking system because accounts were sold and the game became either who had skill or money to get a 50.
However, 343 is currently looking into their ranking system for Halo 4. What should this be like? A hidden rank that only the player can see? Fact is, if the rank becomes public then the selling of accounts will ensue. It’s a difficult question of prestige vs having the ranking system at all.
Furthermore, Remember the great times in H3 competitive gaming? Remember when Believe The Hype won first place at MLG Columbus (I think) and baffled the entire competitive gaming league? Remember the endless hours of practicing? Endless hours of getting better and tactics? Where has all of this gone? It ended midway through Reach and it started in Late Halo 2. Halo 3 adopted it all and that’s why I miss this game. Anyone agree? Disagree? post below!
