Been having a hard time finding matchmaking on Halo 5 Team Arena or any competitive custom games going - I know the later of the two may be a thing of the past but hoping to get some games in - is the community larger on MCC or on Halo 5 currently?

would love to have some people add me so I can play with - been playing competitively since H2 - took a 6 month break on video games and time to get some grind in before Infinite.
Population is much much larger on MCC. Plus, with the Infinite flights having been all weekend, i’m sure Halo 5’s population went down even more. Once Halo infinite actually releases i’m sure Halo 5 is gonna be a graveyard.

Yea the population drop since the flight has been noticeable, my search times easily doubled overnight. This does not bode well for H5 post Infinite

Especially considering Halo Infinite is 100% free and doesn’t even require XBL Gold. Once Infinite drops, Halo 5 is gone bro, save for maybe Spartan Companies grinding for 152

I got on early on sunday morning (CST) and spent the better part of 30 minutes trying to find an Arena match. Looks like its just going to be Team Slayer / Warzone or quite frankly MCC until the launch of Infinite.
Although I personally like the aspect of a Free Multiplayer - especially considering the fact that it will bring back a huge community in my opinion to the game which in turn hopefully produces a large streaming community and competitive community for the game! Hopefully we see some of the pro H3 teams make a comeback. Carbon / Str8 Rippin’ Revive!
WIth release the Halo Infinite Beta and constant updates in MCC there are no longer many players dedicated to Halo 5.
this is normal my friend because the community on halo 5 is really weak now.
