Yea, I think that’s the best part about it, it shows that you guys definitely have a say on how it will work out once it’s released. Can’t say 343i doesnt listen to it’s fans.

Happy Thats what. I see they like to torture us seeing how they could have told us this weeks ago. Would’ve extinguished alot of flames over here.
whats the difference between the rank system and the progressive one? is it only that you can see your rank on waypoint?

The details are somewhat vague right now, but clarity will more likely come soon.
I’m glad they cared enough to do this, and I’m even more so glad that they have been and continue to work on this CRS system. They are really trying to make it the best it can be.
My hopes and I believe many others are that they somehow bring it into the games UI, as viewing it via Waypoint takes the player essentially out of the game.
My idea: Show the player and only the player their overall CRS in-game, and in separate playlist.
Extremely happy about it.
For the people complaining about it…
I don’t know what to say honestly. Reasons why:
-it is 1-50
-works for individual playlists
-if we are matched to other players according to skill it will be no different from the h3, h2 rank system

It works. Seriously, I’m way too damn excited for just the simple prospect of new Halo. I could care less about skill-level things until later on down the road.

People have been asking for an in-game ranking system. Not this. It isn’t like we are asking for something new. This was in Halo 2, and Halo 3. Two of the Three Halo’s that have had Xbox Live have had it. We just want Halo as it used to be.
Great move by 343. I personally think it’d be an even more accurate rank if there was a separate ranked playlist where there is no JIP or guests allowed, as those variables interfere with trueskill.
I am happy with it, and this isn’t a complaint… but I still don’t see why it isn’t just visible in game
