The Halo community is amazing.
All of it’s players, are unique.
All of us are polite, respectful, and just like you,
We are gamers.
Competitive or casual,
Those player’s are still part of the community.
Casual players make up a large portion of the population,
And Competitive players fill up the gap that isn’t casual.
But please,
Please oh please, respect each other, no matter what your opinions are.
Competitive and Casual gamers should be/are,
ONE.
We are all players,
That play Halo, and fill up it’s community.
What would we be without those players?
Ask yourself and please, respect each other, keep this community thriving.
Casuals hop from one game to the next, they don’t stay with Halo but when they seldom pass through then complain the game isn’t easy enough for them therefore ruining the great game Halo once was.
I don’t see why I must respect opinions of players who really aren’t halo fans but just players looking for an easy free ride to dumb down our once hardcore game. I respect players who know what they are talking about and have earned their place in the Halo community by having played many of the previous halo titles and can give valid reasons for why they do or do not like certain changes made in the Halo games for a logical standpoint.
and you ask what would we be without casuals? well a better game, a more hardcore game, and competitive returning to halo. I’d like that.

So let me get this strait… This game would be better off with no Casuals at all? Please consider the population of MLG, The Arena, and ZB Slayer DMRs compared to Team/Super Slayer. You are vastly outnumbered.
And what if Casuals don’t like the idea of the TU being imposed on them? Can they dislike Competitive players for the same OPPINIONATED reasons?
Some seem to be fairly typecast cliche and a little set in their ways.

Wish that were true =/

I swear when I started playing Halo, there was absolutely no distinction between players, you either played Halo, or you didn’t.

Gears of War? (zing!)

We seem to be doing well and the community seems to be growing and should explode upon the release of 4.

In a sense Halo would be better without casuals in my opinion. It was never a question about numbers or populations. He’s not talking about Reach solely, but Halo. Ah well the “death” of Halo started with H2 anyway so whatever.
They already dislike competitive players for actually wanting Halo gameplay and not fusions between games.

I think your getting casual players confused with bandwagon jumpers. Not every casual gamer is the type of player you just described. Just because someone is a casual gamer doesn’t necessarily mean they instantly drop a game the second they get frustrated. You can play a game casually but still play it on a daily basis and be dedicated to the series.
Both sides of the community just need to realize that for Halo to continue to be as great as it has been throughout the years a level of mutual respect should be there. Even if you don’t necessarily believe the other side is the right way of playing the game or deserve the same about of attention you have to realize the series would never have gotten to the point it has without both sides providing their support.
Labels are stupid anyway and promote elitism and conflict. We should all just consider each other Halo fans.
The day will never come when I accept advice from a ‘casual’ on what ‘competitive’ settings are. For example if a ‘casual’ in Reach were to try and tell me that Armour Lock and Active Camo are ‘competitive’ I would lose my mind because they are delusional and too-reliant on broken AA’s.
I will respect casuals as long as they don’t try to dictate the ‘competitive’ side of Halo. (Thus, I don’t respect those who were in favour of the original Arena system because it was essentially ‘casual’ settings injected into a ‘ranked’ playlist…)
