So, everyone knows that RTS games are some of the most competitive genres. This wasn’t present in the first Halo Wars, but it is understandable why. Halo Wars was built for console, so it is so much simpler than most PC RTS games.
Halo 5 has an amazing competitive scene, with the HCS and the upcoming Pro League. How would you feel about a Halo Wars 2 world championship? Would there be enough players? To me, this would be really cool, as I thoroughly enjoyed watching HCS and it would be great to see something like this in Halo Wars 2.

I agree though with the way Halo franchise sales have been trending in general they may look upon halo wars and its 2.5 million units sold a bit more fondly then they did back then so who knows. Personally i would love to see Halo Wars matches being commentated on

Suppose so, yeah. Better to get the game out before we start having tournaments and all that.
Halo Wars 2 isn’t going to be in the competitive tournaments, if it is going there, than I’m surprised because it isn’t really set up for that, unless your doing it in a 3v3 private match or public with friends. The first Halo Wars wasn’t in the competitive tournaments, but it was very competitive though.
They would first need a spectator mode like in halo 5 that would allow the commentators to view the match live without a big roundabout way like what was used in early halo games.
It would be relatively simple just allow someone to join a ongoing game that you could see all the players units on with no fog of war. The minimap then could show any major conflicts going on at a glance for the comentator to easily switch areas. This would have to be delayed like in h5 so ppl would not use a second xbox to cheat.

Please , please , please , add an observer mode. That would be awesome! Would love to be able to sit back and watch full scale battles and not have to DO anything to advance the action!
I enjoy playing the game but being able to watch a good competitive match or compare and learn new strategies would be great.
Plz Have tournaments I would even pay!!
I just have my fingers crossed hoping that 343i doesn’t screw this up. I have faith in Creative Assembly though, as they are the lead designers for the game.

I would be quite happy if Halo Wars 2 become as popular or more (I doubt it) than Starcraft 2, which would be a great sign for potential tournament play granted the game is well made as well. I really enjoy watching RTS tournaments. I want HW 2 to have it too.
