Took 3 days off work on games release. Earning roughly $150 AUD per day. So $450 AUD for work. Also stocked up on energy drinks for the release date $30 AUD

Well then don’t complain about any kind of money you “lost” because you took time off. If you go to a Festival and it is closed because of the weather are you going to complain to whoever was hosting the festivale and ask for you money back? Same if you go on vacation.

A true loyal fan to Halo who takes off work to enjoy something 343 advertised from over a year ago does not deserve to be treated how you are treating him. 343 falsely advertised the entire matchmaking experience in this game.

The matchmaking system was also vastly different from what it is today 10 years ago.
Back then you had voice and multiplayer. Pretty much it. But now look at everything that is included in your online package. You are still owed nothing.
343 and MS are only responsible for the game, not what you decided to do outside of it.
if anything, they should extend the Halo 5 beta, add a fan selected playlist, or just credit everyone’s MS account with $10-20

He’s allowed to take time off for whatever he wants. It isn’t his boss’ business and frankly it isn’t your business to question that. My work was closed for veteran’s day even though I wouldn’t have taken off, but it’s his life, not yours. If he wants to take time off to play a game why do you care.
Also, the whole “they don’t owe us anything.” Is starting to lose merit. We’re nearly two weeks in and a sizable amount of the population can’t play the game. They owed us a working product at launch and still owe is a working product. Life isn’t about paying for broken things and then being told to deal with it. While MCC is far from as broken as BF4 was last year it still is bad.
Think of it this way WoW had server troubles for a few days and they already managed to get it under control in a timely and efficient manner. They still gave everyone affected free game time.
Don’t expect anything from them. Just don’t buy the next game. There is no other competitors to halo. Its not like a car company where you can go and buy a different car, if the one you have now was sold to you as defective. There is one halo and they know this. You want to send a message, don’t buy Halo 5 but other than that they won’t owe you anything.

we’ve already waited close to two weeks. People already had to deal with this in BF4, let’s not let it happen again lest the companies get too comfy doing it.
