I purchased an Xbox One and MCC in late November/early December as a Christmas present for my son and I, and the only reason I went with the Xbox is because of MCC and Halo 5 - even though I heard matchmaking was not working correctly, and all the other problems it was having, I still purchased it. I had it way before the December 19th cutoff date for the compensation you guys are offering, yet because I didn’t open anything until Christmas day I’m ineligible to receive the nameplate, avatar, and ODST campaign… I can provide proof of purchase before the cutoff date, is there no way I would be eligible to receive the compensation? If not, that is incredibly disappointing.
You could try reaching out to bravo, but going purely from the info that 343 have given us so far then you’re not eligible I’m afraid. My guess is that they are going digital tracking because its more reliable, less costly and overall less time consuming not just for then but for us as well. I would have liked to see the dates extended up to December 31, maybe they will revise at some point or they have something else planned
Yeah, i kind of thought that’d be the answer Thanks for pointing me to Bravo, sent him a PM, so hopefully he’ll respond. I agree with you, extending the deadline til the end of December would at least make it not seem like a slap in the face to everyone who bought the game as a Christmas gift, long before the deadline they currently have, despite all the poor reviews of matchmaking, glitches, etc.
If you didn’t sign on to live and play the game before th 19th you won’t get the compensation.
Picking this date was obviously a strategic choice to prevent all the people who get it for christmas from being eligible as well.
Sorry but you are going to be out of luck unless they extend the date which I doubt at this point. They are not going to waste time reviewing individual cases to see when the game was purchased.
