In the statement released by 343 regarding the addition of ODST, one month of live, etc. It states that GamerTags have been logged. Does this mean if I change my GamerTag before receiving compensation it could effect my ability to receive compensation? If a member of 343 could answer I would greatly appreciate it. Not to be rude by any means but I’m not willing to risk it on the guess or assumption of a random community member. Still love you guys tho! Lol
Seeing that 343 almost never posts here, you’re not gonna get a response from them. I think you should probably ask xbox support as they might have more info. Your account would still stay the same, so they can probably detect if you have played the game or not, or they would have logs detailing the change. But to be on the safe side, you should probably refrain from changing it.

I’ve never changed it with the exception of when I made a new account. However if I want to change it that should not effect my compensation.

And it probably won’t affect it. It’s now up to you whether you risk it or wait until after. There’s really no way to know without somebody trying it and seeing what happens.
