Compendium of Skulls

It may be getting your goat that we have a venue to discuss something so abstract and unknowable as Halo 4. There are countless suggestions and callouts, warnings and love letters. At this point, most of it is screaming into the wind.

But when it comes to skulls, it’s all about you.

If you’ve ever thought of a skull (or otherwise) you’d like to see in Halo 4, post it here. Be sure to describe the effects in a clear manner and don’t sweat the small stuff.

I’ve always wanted one that would do something along the lines of doubling your hitbox to make mythics playthroughs alot harder and it would be called something like “bullet magnet”.

ERA:
While this skull is active, the player cannot reload their weapon until the magazine is empty. Plasma weapons will become unusable if overheated.

OR THE WHALE:
While this skull is active, a single enemy (from all in active existence) is chosen. The player can only damage this single enemy until it is dead. At this point another enemy is chosen and so on. The player cannot damage unelected enemies.

The only thing I truly want is that the skulls are hidden throughout the campaign; I love that SO much.

Return of Sputnik and I will be satisfied, additional skulls would just be icing on the cake.

PAINSTAKER
For every bullet/round/%, if you miss, your shields decrease -1/(current weapon mag size).

Example, a 60 round AR magazine is fired, and 45 (75%) shots are inaccurate, Your shields will decrease by 75%.
if you miss with 2 rockets simultaneously, you die.

Wow. These are actually some pretty interesting ideas. I’m pleasantly surprised. :slight_smile:

I’ll try to think of some and get back to here with them…

Name: Common Cold

Effect: After you kill an enemy it comes back up as a flood form a few seconds later.

We need more skulls like Catch and Tough Luck. Such as making Elites berserk more and Grunts panic more.

DEADEYE

All enemies shoot for the head. (Affects allies too!)

GOLD SKULLS
TIPPING THE SCALES:
Enemy weapons get an extreme power boost. Player weapons are significantly weakened.

REVENGE:
Each time you kill an enemy, the surviving enemies in the area get stronger and more aggressive.

INVERSION:
Up is down. Left is right. Forward is backward.

BLOOM:
Player weapons lose accuracy.

FRAGGED:
Disables grenades.

NOBLE:
When a player dies in Co-Op, they remain dead until every other player dies.

SILVER SKULLS
PIMPED OUT:
Changes the Master Chief’s armour to that of your multiplayer Spartan.

THE RETURN:
Changes the Master Chief to an Elite.

WHAT THE LADIES LIKE:
Changes the voice of a randomly chosen character to the voice of Sergeant Johnson.

OUTER BODY EXPERIENCE:
Changes the view to third person.

WEIGHTLESS:
Decreases gravity, increases speed.

AUGMENTED:
Increases melee strength.

TITAN:
Enemies become larger.

i hope they keep them clasic skulls

As a difficulty Gold skull, assuming 343 doesn’t change the absurd enemy damage seen in H2, H3, and Reach, then that would be very, very intense and would make most of the player sandbox useless.

But if this is a silver skull, intended for fun on lower difficulties, say, stick a bunch of Elites and get them to all charge at you due to surviving the blast, then it would be interesting.

Personally, I’d like to see a skull that gives allies advantages.

Yeah, like that.

I mean this is badass!! The video (not mine) shows a H3 Sierra 117 mod that switches Brutes with Spartans, Grunts and Jackals with marines, and marines with Elites and Grunts. And this is too sweet!!

mirror skull. turns your HUD upside down, turns words backwards, inverts your controls and all ai heads appear upside down too.

also, a skull that swaps around vehicle undersides. for example, the wraith gets scorpion tracks and the scorpion gets anti-gravity propulsion.

TIPSY:
While this skull is active, the player’s crosshairs will slowly drift about the screen.
