Do think we will ever see fully characterized and compelling covenant character in future Halo games, rather than the usually shoot aliens they’re bad? Grunts, Elites, and etc. having their own voice independent rather than one from a higher authority.

I meant in the video games. We currently have Thel and Rtas 'Vadum, but there are no other unique alien characters in Halo, that aren’t elites.
We need the Blackbeard equivalent for one of the Kig-Yar pirates/traders.

Jul M’Dama is in the games now.
Yeah Jul is definitely in the category of interesting Covenant character, crazy to think so many players have no clue that he isn’t in the slightest extremist but is using the Covenant forces he has to get revenge against the humans for what they did to him and his family. Which I find really interesting since Halsey says at the end of S-Ops that she wanted revenge so that must tickle Jul some.

Yet another reason that more of the EU should be referenced in-game, especially when it would be so simple for 343 to do.
I would love for there to be a Grunt character in Halo, maybe even a good Grunt who works for the UNSC. Probably wont happen, as it’d be too awesome.
