Comparing Weapons Old and New

How do you think the Hydra Launcher (Halo 5) stacks up against the Grenade Launcher (Halo Reach)? Since it’s the spiritual successor to the latter, do you prefer using the Hydra? I personally love the Grenade Launcher and how versatile it is, but which do you prefer?
The same goes for the Plasma Launcher (Halo 5) and the Concussion Rifle (Halo Reach/4). Which do you find more useful?

If anything the Plasma Caster is the spiritual successor to the grenade launcher.

I love the hydra. My favorite versatile, all-purpose power weapon in the game.

I don’t know, I like both of them.

I thought it was the spiritual successor to the plasma launcher

The hydra and plasma caster are both superior. The advantage that the nade launcher has over the hydra is that it can bounce off walls and you can hold off its detonation for a short period of time.

Emp vehicles, faster travel time, doesn’t almost need Lock-On. It all depends on the situation I guess!

I forgot about the EMP feature, but the third Warzone hydra variant also has an EMP feature although I doubt you’re talking about Warzone. It may have a faster travel time (don’t know), but the hydra can shoot out multiple missiles instead of a single shot.
