You’re dead wrong. They added modern aiming because the classic halo aiming had weird acceleration. There are multiple videos about this.
If you actually did research on the topics you’re speaking about instead of speaking from personal opinion, you would be taken more seriously.
You are horribly misinformed.

Weird accel in MCC, not in the xbox original (which I was referring to).
The classic aiming originated from the xbox titles. You have no clue on what your talking about.

Wrong. MCC Halo CE used the PC port which was not 100% comparable to the xbox version.

Accuracy is overrated. There are people with 40% accuracy that deal twice as much damage in a game as someone who can shoot 50%. Guess who helped their team more?
Maybe provide some data to back that up?
So far accuracy is a pretty solid gauge of player skill based on the data from OP.

The aiming didn’t change. There was no modern aiming back then. Go look it up. You’re wrong.
The deadzones were untouched.

Idk from my games? I’m often the player who deals not a lot of damage and I literally can’t figure out how my teammates get the numbers they do. My accuracy doesn’t seem to be worse than theirs either, to my surprise.
Did you ever play OG xbox halo CE? It’s aim assist was far less than what is used in modern console gaming. There was an actual learning curve there, now with rotational auto aim you barely have to track targets on controller.

It’s not 1999 anymore. You’re going to face people that are better than you. Get over it.
This is definitely accurate at least 99.9% lol
Diamond in cross play mode is basically gold or plat 1 in controller solo/duo
??? what does this even mean LMAO… halo wasnt out in 1999 and people were already hyper competitive at video games in 1999…
Do you think 1999 is really that long ago kid?

I was referring most fps games being super challenging in the aiming department around that time.
And halo was in active development in 1999. The game just released in 2001. I know calling people kid really makes you feel important and superior but it looks and sounds incredibly stupid to me.
Sorry. I just don’t feel comfortable ending very sentence with “kid.”
I don’t play call of duty anymore.
It took you 5 mins to come up with that? That didn’t even tickle.
Okay I’m not really trying to start a slap fight with you. I’m more focused on the other guy who still thinks 3 tapping soneone with a magnum is skillful.
I really have no beef with you.

Well at least you are logical lol. Imagine thinking 3 tapping somone with a pistol is skillfull.

Pfft. I’ve been playing Halo for 20yrs on console. This game is harder than the rest, and if Halo was really auto-mated play as you claim I doubt it’d be considered a more skill based game than its console contemporaries.
You’re just getting smacked by controller players, even though we have basically zero aim assist and inferior gamepads.

Don’t know what game you’ve been playing but if you are saying that with halo infinite’s aim assist you barely have to track targets then you have not been playing halo Infinite. The aim assist in this game is set extremely low to the point where it feels like it’s not even there sometimes. The only time I’ve seen aim assist like you’ve described was during the tech test where having M&K and controller connected with dead zone set to 0 which caused a bug to drastically increase the aim assist. Other than that the aim assist is far less than most modern fps games.

Hey everybody. Just found this graph on reddit.

Even with broken aim assist this graph is quite telling.
Most players use controllers and are probably in the 50th percentile. We’re good, but against the top 100 KBM players they are healthy competition. Meanwhile top 100 KBM players get absolutely rekt by the top 100 controller players. This might be due to experience with the game on controller (I see KBM players waste several seconds in front of weapons or vehicles trying to find the key to hit) When controller players have everything in their palms and most play is just muscle memory you can expect them to have an advantage that will only come with time to KBM players.
