So back when 343 announced what the 152 reward was going to be (09 December 2020) i figured i would check what the current population was that had achieved the goal.
At that time there were (2,891) 152s and (71) 153s.
Currently there are (3,460) 152s and (90) 153s
In the 97 days since that announcement we have gained (569) 152s (19.7% increase) and (19) 153s (26.8% increase).

It seems really bizarre how few max ranks there are with how long the game has been out. Even the announcement of a reward doesn’t really seem to have lit a fire under many people.

It’s a helluva grind, I think its fair to say that most people either don’t have the time or don’t think the reward is worth it. It’s also possible that people just don’t even try because they’re at a lower level.

If I had to guess it’s probably the disproportionate XP hike at the last few levels, or that the only reward at the time was just an emblem. The game has been out for 6 years now, even if someone was working full time since launch they could’ve gotten it by now.

Would be cool if Infinite had a special branded version of the 152 reward for 153’s as well. Something subtle, not too different from the 152 one. Hitting 153 is extra crazy!
