People theese days…
All day and no one using a mic…
Game ends and the other team had 2-5 mics…
You wonder why that match was soo difficult?
Because we couldn’t communicate…
There may be a squeaker, mute them…
Hear music…mute them… you’ll never hear them again…
You don’t NEED a mic to win…But it makes games alot easier…
I hear ya man. But personally… I interact with humans all day at my job. I come home, lounge on the couch and just want to shoot bad guys and not engage in empty conversations with people I will never see. Sure, I’ll call out a strategy here and there if I’m in the mood and I think it’ll help. But for the most part, the people I’ve heard who use mic’s just complain, piss and moan, and swear and shout. I don’t care for it.
While I agree that Halo is much easier working as a team… Winning < Socializing with friends
you don’t need to communicate to win a match. just be aware of things. hmm… my teammate just died and in the killfeed it shows as a rocket, i wonder what’s going to be around this corner…
usually i tend to not mute people because of the off-chance that they actually spread info thats useful, but if its just plain annoying like constant static, you’re getting muted…

We’ve been over this. I don’t want to talk to you. If you want to play with people with mics, build at team.
Losing isn’t the end of the world. I’m not going to get ultra upset if I lose.
I’d rather relax and play my game, win or lose, then tense up and talk to random internet strangers because they want to win.
Too many people talking in game is distracting for me. I usually mute everyone even if I’m in a party lol.
I think a mic’d team is fine as long as everyone keeps it cool. Casual appropriate conversation with callouts is enjoyable to me. Complaing, over-the-top swearing, or constant ranting is just obnoxious.

Especially if they’re giving second-by-second reports of what they’re seeing.
Back in the good old days of Halo 3 almost everyone has a mic. Now it’s all these stupid kids on and only a handful of old school Halo players that actually care about playing right and winning.
But what if the game glitches and doesn’t actually allow you to mute people?
The fact that you think mic’s=wins shows just how unintelligent people can be.
If you did even the simplest research into gaming then you would realise:
- People are not sweaty no-lifes. - A mic does not increase a person’s skill. - A mic will not give someone common sense. - A mic will not prevent people from making mistakes. - A mic does not improve someone’s aim. - A mic does not change a person’s play style. - A mic will not change how you react to enemies. - A mic will not change a person’s social skills. - A mic will not make the children on your team good players. - A mic will not prevent idiots from acting stupid.I could go on and on but I’ve made my point. A mic allows people to tell their teammates where the the enemy is, what weapons they have and if you need help.
It will not make you or your team better.
It will not make you win.

I wish I had played Halo 3 mm. I wouldn’t mind a little communication during games, and just callouts please. It’s the changing dynamic of gaming. Very few players are comfortable with talking to random players and using call outs.

I KNOW RIGHT! Halo online can sometimes be full of antisocial weirdos, NO ONE EVER TALKS
The problem, I think, is that one experience with a squeaker or music enthusiast ruins the chance for anyone to use a mic. Assuming that everyone will be annoying on a mic isn’t helpful. Just open the floodgates. I’ve met people that later became good friends through game chat.
I would talk to people on the mic but always hear people on the speaker of other people talking and other people voices in the background. The only time I use a mic is with my friends.
to be honest I mute people as soon as the game starts. Sometimes it doesn’t work on warzone assault for some reason. Unless I’m in a party with friends thats the only time I’ll use a mic. But if I’m playing a game of halo solo and not in a party it means relaxing time and not dealing with people I know I’m not gonna get along with or like anyway. Plus callouts. Communication is really really distracting. “he’s behind you” turns around “no behind you!” turns back around “left, right behind you” dies
that was just a funny example. It does distract me though any form of talking does. It’s why I just play for fun and not for a win. When I’m in a party we talk about almost anything other than the actual game haha. I know how many people get mad when your not talking about the game cause it means your not focusing. Honestly while constant callouts and shouting will throw me off. Having a normal conversation and a chill time doesn’t. Again thats only when I’m in a party. Solo is fun time for me. No need to talk to people I dont know save my breathe spare the headaches. Okay i’m out

I start to but, when I notice no one is listening or reacting to what I say and where people/bosses are spawning, I stop wasting my time.
I am a person who will rarely talk during a game unless I see something of great importance that I should report to my team mate. But for the most part I never tak but rather listen. If you say get in a warthog I will listen to you and do it but never say a word about it. Many of my friends do the same and frankly we shouldn’t be pressured into communicating if we don’t want to.
