The community making demands and requests for things they want to see brought into halo is becoming more common, and the chances of 343 seeing your request is very slim. A good way for 343 to better connect with and understand what the community wants would be for 343 to create a wish list. Let me explain.
Once every couple of weeks or months 343 could put up a new topic (what weapon do you want to see return to halo 5?) and in the comment section people discuss and talk about what they want.
343 then takes the top 3/5 most discussed things or what seems the most practical to make (sentinel beam, brute shot, grenade launcher).
The community then gets to vote on what they want to see in the next update (or what they want to return to halo in the future), and which ever gets the most votes 343 then implements it into halo 5 (or 6) with a message saying something like “this month you voted for the sentinel beam to make a triumphant return to halo, well here it is in all it’s glory!”.
It would be a great way to prove to the community and to their critiques that they listen to what the fans want
