Community update was pretty positive

Not true cross-core. Only non-fracture cross-core where it’s convenient, and doesn’t take any extra effort to fix minor clipping. Instead of building the game assets with cross-core in mind, making everything universally fitting, they’re backtracking, and skipping steps when it’s inconvenient

There is progress happening. Slow, but it is. And I do truly believe this game will be great in a number of years after a lot of TLC and iterative updates. The core underlying gameplay foundation is great, and that’s the only thing that can’t really be fixed later.

It is really tiresome to hear the same refrain of “we’re listening” from 343i, though. It’s been the same song for literally years with them. “We know we messed up, we’re trying to fix it.”

To their credit, they ultimately did a good job with that in MCC. But again, it took them years to do it. We’re in for a wait. If I had to guess, the updates from 343i are going to continue to communicate, essentially, “We know, we’re sorry, and we’re working on it (slowly)”. That’s what we got in yesterday’s stream, certainly.

Jerry Hook in the stream said that they are looking to move away from the core system completely.

Cannon cores only right now while fractures will come later down the line since they are “harder”

I mean, it took them like 4 months to realign an FX visor…

I’m glad Unyshek wasn’t wearing the same clothes that he had on with his interview with Hook. It shows he has a healthy work life balance!!

Sket7ch on the other hand must be working his bollocks off!

Nah they scripted good questions and it was quite informative in between the sales pitches.

Looking forward to the new season and some of the game modes and there were snippets of suggestions regarding the progression system.

Makes me happy!

This is well laid out and communicated. I appreciate the positive expression of what’s going on and your thoughts behind it.

I didn’t catch those, could you give more context about this?

Basically they know people want it, it’s being worked on, is an example of a feature that’s large in scope and is going to take a while.

Not much to say. Just this below….

Happy it’s still on the forefront of their ambitions.
