What if we had the opportunity to design a skin and have a skin submission thread to bring out a new update? I think a lot of people would have some cool ideas! For instance I would make a flood themed skin! How awesome would it look!

I just want full out black skins, like the Master Control but without the Tron blue.
Having the option to create our own weapon skins? Sure why not that sounds cool. It would also sound nice if they also let us create our own armour skin.
If I was having the option for my own weapon skins, I’ll just do what ROGUE SPARTAN17 said, full plain black weapon skins.

Interesting idea buddy
Actual camo skins. Like, what we have on the different vehicle variations. Woodland, Tundra and Urban camos for most of the weapons.
Weapon-specific skins for both Blue Team and Osiris, to make it look like you have that Spartan’s actual firearm (ex; Bucks AR has “Veronica” scratched onto the side, Fred’s DMR has 104 on it.)
Given the fact that the Master Control skins were originally pitched by Vetoed in a Twitter post showcasing the Magnum as a concept, it wouldn’t be too out of the question to snag a pic and photoshop it into something that could be considered a skin fit for use in-game. I remember a good friend of mine wanted chrome skins, which sounded really intriguing to me. If I were to offer a suggestion, I’d go with that.

Every armor set gets to be Charred! Oh, you mean weapon skins? Here’s what I’d do first: I’m a “full sets” kind of person, so I’d give all of those assault rifle+Magnum-only skin combos (e.g. pizza+french fries, Blue team, Osiris team, Noble team, etc.) matching battle rifles, SMGs, and DMRs. And the assault rifle-only skins, such as Vengeance and Lagrange would get the same full matching sets, too. My OCD prevents me from mixing up weapon skins, so this would help me a lot. And bring back the steampunk skins from Halo 4.
I also think it would be cool to have Halloween and/or holiday-themed weapon skins, I mean we already got holiday-themed emblems so why not? And maybe a Haunted helmet to go with it. Otherwise I’m happy with what we have, because I already have my favorite weapon skins (Pop Culture)

But why? Isn’t that kind of boring? Are you one of those people who dresses your Spartan in black+black with a Midnight visor? Whatever floats your boat, I guess

I kind of like this idea. Remember Hazop Forest in Halo 4? If we had a proper camo-patterned armor skin like that in Halo 5, it would be extra fun to match it with camo weapons

It has to be within reason and complies with any rules set out by 343 themselves.
Fantastic input guys, I’m happy to see that this looks as a whole very interesting to you all and has an element of excitement about it! Now we just need a 343 employee to browse this idea and run with it! In the meantime I will design a cool looking skin and post it to twitter!

I don’t want it to be an in game feature, the skins have to be designed then sent to 343 for approval or have a section on the forum for showcasing ideas!

Wait a second…I’m cracking up an idea: In addition to pitching ideas for weapon skins to 343, why not do the same for the seasonal Arena emblems in the same manner? I heard a while back that they were discontinuing them, so why not have the community provide something for that?

Eh it could be like the “Onyx” skins from GoW, and to be fair most of the skins now are boring. I don’t see how that edgy Spartan theme has anything to do with my skin idea, if anything the ‘Skulls And Roses’ skin has that covered.

I want a flame skin but to spice things up the flames move. Imagine that. An animated skin. Also skins with effects such as a lightning one with sparks coming out of it. Obvioulsy these would be mythical skins.
As long as they have to be submitted to 343… I am for this idea. Cause we all know what happens if you can make your own custom skins for weapons… -Yoinks!- everywhere.
The down side would be that 343 would have to make sure nothing is copyrighted anywhere.
I really wouldn’t mind a neon set of skins… I mean why not. You can already make your suit bright colors why not your weapons.
