Since 343 is taking requests for the community, I would like everyone who is a fan of reach to offer suggestions for updates that it is POSSIBLE for 343 to make on the game. No crazy Christmas lists of completely bizarre and noobish modifications. Just simple things that would make reach a more enjoyable game.
To start off this topic, I would like 343 to simply incorporate elites into any playlist. No change to the appearance of the elites. Just make elites playable characters in all matchmaking playlists. Some players prefer to play as elites instead of spartans. They should be able to play as elites and fight alongside spartan players in matchmaking.
People complain that elites are bigger hitboxes and they are bigger targets. SO WHAT!! Elites bring a different playing style to the game. People like me who play as an elite know how to defeat spartan players in FFA because I effectively use elites’ strenghs against my opponents. There is no reason to complain about elites being incorporated into matchmaking. You wouldnt have to play as one if you dont want to.
Another thing too, there are many elite clans that are angry about not being able to play as elites in matchmaking. They cannot face real combat situations while gaining ACTUAL credits at the same time without being forced to play as a spartan. The beauty of halo 3 was that elites were apreciated and they were accessible by the community during REGULAR MATCHMAKING. I, and many friends i used to be in elite clans with are now having to switch back to halo 3 in order to play as an elite because face it, Reach’s custom games are dead, and there is no real credit payoff from playing.
Overall, i am not making a huge or unfair demand. Just please allow elites to play in matchmaking alongside spartans. If people cant deal with the elites’ physical appearance, thats their problem. As for the rest of us, its about time justice is served, and that things are returned to the way they used to be.
