I hope they don’t put community maps like in Reach because most of the maps I’ve played in reach we’re terrible and didn’t play well at all.
I think multiplayer map designers should make the forge maps because they know what maps at well in halo because well they made all the sweet maps in halo 4 that seem to play very well from all the vids from Bravo.

I agree and disagree, reach’s worst maps were the ones that shipped with the game.
Let’s hope halo 4 isn’t a repeat offender.

Yes and no, for instance the infection maps don’t play we’ll at all In eyes. Mt. Lam lam is a perfect example of a really bad map. Some of the maps are good like abridged, trident and renegade. Those play well to me. Of course there are some bad maps that were shipped with the game like reflection because of armor abilities. A lot of maps don’t play well because of armor abilities

There are actually forgers in Reach who learned the ins and outs of map design perhaps better than Bungie ever did. These people include AtlasIsShruggin and the dude that forged Trident.
And Lamlam doesn’t exactly deserve its bad reputation. I see it as a pretty passable map.
I’d hate to see community made maps not be featured, that would take away much of the incentive to build them in the first place. Putting them in a separate playlist wouldn’t work well either, as that playlist is likely to have a pretty low population for featuring 3 base maps, and for throwing in good forge maps with ones that players will detest.
If anything, a separate playlist should be used to house many community forge maps, and the most voted for out of these would be put into the rest of matchmaking for a couple of months each.
> That is a good idea
Thank you. I really think that’s the way 343i should go about showcasing forge maps, because it would allow community maps to shine while still giving us only the best of the best in most of matchmaking.
