Community Invasion Maps - Let's See 'em

Waypointers, listen up!

If any of you guys have come across any great Invasion maps you think would be a good fit for Reach’s Matchmaking, please post them here. I understand with the fileshare down it is a bit difficult, but you can still link to files that were updated before 3/31 and/or map threads hosted at various other Forging websites. If you have the following information, that would be great:

For recommendations of maps that DON’T belong to you:

> Map Name:
> Author:
> Canvas: (Forge World, Highlands, etc…)
> Category: (Invasion, Invasion Slayer, etc…)
> Media: (Any screenshots/videos/etc…)
> Link to map file: (if available)

For recommendations of maps that DO belong to you:

> Map Name:
> Author: (your xbox live GT)
> Canvas: (Forge World, Highlands, etc…)
> Category: (Invasion, Invasion Slayer, etc…)
> Media: (Any screenshots/videos/etc…)
> Link to map file*: (if available)

*Please place the map in your in-game fileshare and tag with: “waypointinv”

If you don’t have the info, give me your best description of the Invasion map you played and where we could possibly locate the map/contact the author.

These maps need to follow standard 6v6 Matchmaking Invasion/Inv Slayer/Inv Skirmish gametype settings.

Thanks!

Whoops, double post. Ignore this.

Floodgate
By Oakley HiDef and Kanggo Sucka
Canvas Forge World
For Invasion

This is an excellent map on the sandbar near The Island that has gone through many iterations and has and interesting theme.

Island Complex
By Oakley HiDef
Canvas Forge World
For Invasion

Another great map by Oakley that wraps around the island with brilliant aesthetics. He actually made a video series showing how he made the map step by step.

Bunker Complex
By Oakley Hidef
Canvas Forge World
For Invasion

Oakley HiDef does an excellent job utilizing Forge World’s natural terrain by creating a bunker on Alaska that goes underground into the cave. It mixes vehicle combat with intese CQC and has detailed aesthetics.

LOTR: Helms Deep
By Oakley HiDef and AJ Yusi
Canvas Forge World
For Invasion (Use the LOTR gametype by Oakley HiDef)

For a less traditional invasion experience (with a lot more swords), here’s an extremely accurate repilca of Helms Deep from Lord of The Rings, including a village, a castle, towers, and catapults.

Thanks. Tagged for review.

already being looked at ;), this map went from just aesthetic goods to full blown invasion awesomeness in the space of 3 months, even now i think oakly and kango are optimizing performance as much as possible.

the rest, just no, they don’t follow invasion gameplay at all.

also, how the hell did i miss this post? …

Am being told this doesn’t follow standard MM invasion gametype settings nor does it utilize fire teams. If this is accurate, it cannot be used in the Invasion playlist currently featured in MM.

Do you have contact with the author to request some quick changes?

Map Name: Brineia
Author: Xinshu
Canvas: Forge World
Category: Invasion
Media: No media at the moment, at some point in time might be a video though.
Obviously cannot download via bungie.net b/c of the switch

Map is set from the beachfront and extends off the island. It features definitive fireteam routes and is set up for competitive invasion (terr./terr./flag). Objectives are set up at the proper distances to best benefit gameplay. Gameplay works nicely and I was able to avoid major chokepoints by extending the islands area and implementing places specific for fireteam spawning. Standard vehicle setup: (ghost(P2)/wraith(P3)/banshee(P3) and warthog(P2)/scorpion(P3))

Give it a look and some feedback, thanks.

<<Will tag the map later>>
