Background on me: I’ve been an avid Halo player since I was 7 (I’m currently 19), but have taken a leave from the franchise since this past summer.
What I Need: To be briefed on all things Halo for my return in a few weeks!
These are the things I’d like to know:
How was the launch? Is the game stable? - How are ranks? How do they work? - What do REQ packs consist of? - **How do I obtain the Deadeye helmet? (It was my helmet in Halo 4)**Thank you so much in advance to whoever answers these!
In my opinion it’s a solid game which gives that epic spartan feel. Good launch for such a highly anticipated game.
Ranking is similar as that of Halo 4 except you can use boosts which are obtained from REQ packs at the start of a game to speed it up.
REQ packs consist of armour, weapon certifications to use is Warzone, weapons and vehicles, assassinations, stances, weapon skins, emblems, visors and armour mods etc. All usable for the warzone game type (12 v 12 more epic version of Invasion from Reach).
Not sure about the helmet if it is in the game most likely obtainable from Requisition packs which I believe work well as the points aren’t too much of a grind and it gives you something to play for. Although there are some flaws such as radar and spawning in arena I’d recommend coming back to Halo.

The launch went pretty smooth, game seems stable so far. Which is definitely needed after the MCC debacle of 2014.
REQ Packs consist of mongooses. Lol. But actually they can contain consumables for Warzone and unlockables as well (Armor, Emblems, Stances, Assassinations, weapon skins, etc.).
The Deadeye Helmet, like all helmets in Halo 5, is obtained from REQ Packs.
Hope I helped further clarify, and welcome back! I too went AWOL from Halo for a spell so I know what it’s like to try to jump right back in.
i was more than twice your age when i first played halo…
god im getting old.
anyways there are some issues with the after game lobby, and of course issues with XBONE live being more shoddy than i remember it being on the origonal or the 360.
and some rare connection issues when trying to start matchmaking
but for the most part that is pretty sparse and when you get into a game there is almost never any lag + servers are quite stable.
Req packs are how you earn customization options and consumables + loadout items for Warzone. basically you play an arena or warzone match and you get Req points for your effort. you can then buy packs for 1250-5000-10000 req points.
see point 3. all customization options (save a very rare few) are gained via requisition packs. so good luck on getting it.
