A while back, I recall at some point that the seasonal Arena emblems will be discontinued in the near future for Halo 5, and I feel this may be something of a disappointment for avid Arena players out there. I myself may not be that great of an Arena player, but receiving a unique emblem after committing our efforts alone / together with our teammates is very rewarding. But once again, seeing this concept being dropped entirely seems too abrupt for most, and for some, could reduce incentive for playing Ranked Arena, if at all.
After taking notes from UnhandyKarmaIV’s thread (which you can find here), I thought to myself: Why not allow community members submit designs for seasonal Arena emblems in the same manner that Vetoed submitted the designs for the would-be Master Control weapon skins?
The existing designs are wonderful in their own right, but there are countless possibilities should the community have the opportunity in doing so. But of course, the submitted designs have to be within reason and abides by any rules set by 343 themselves (should they approve of it somehow). And perhaps to keep things under control, limit 1 submission per person. No alternate accounts allowed.
Would you guys create a design for the next Arena season emblem? If so, what would it be? I’d personally love to see an animated one as we’ve yet to see one.
I’m an avid Arena player and I personally don’t care much for these emblems. They don’t mean anything to me. Anyone who has played 10 games in a season can get them.

I feel like the combination of these two ideas could well and truly get the community involved in some awesome work! It could also be another incentive to get that prestigious 343 fire skin!

It’s a good idea by HaXoR73 but ultimately I agree with D M4N8. I think just playing 10 games to get it is a terrible idea. Actually, I think this set up makes things worst in Arena. People who only care about the emblem are much more likely to quit or be AFK for example which hurts players who are actually trying to play Arena… They are also typically aren’t very good as they don’t communicate or anything because again, they only care about the emblem. I’ve seen lots of people on here even say they only play Arena for 10 games to get the emblem.
I don’t know what the answer is and I’m not saying some type of “reward” per say, at the end of a season isn’t a good idea, but to me emblems aren’t it. People who like/play Arena are typically people who play it because they enjoy that style/being ranked, Not because of some emblem.

I didn’t think about it this way, but you’re right. I didn’t even know these emblems were such a big deal.

This Arena season spans the entire duration of July and August. They’ve been doing these kind of seasons for some time now.
I wasn’t even aware people cared about the emblems in arena to be honest. It’s just getting ranked in one playlist, it’s not like it’s a big achievement to get.
