As a long time Counter Strike player, I find one of the most essential things in any competitive game is communication with your teammates. Most of the time I queue with a full fireteam and everyone is communication through party chat and calling out and such is never an issue. Today however, we were short a player and has to matchmake for our 4th person. We all decided to enter gamechat so that we would be able to communicate with our teammate. Throughout an entire day of playing we only had 4 teammates with makes and only half off them were helpful and communicated with us about the game. I personally feel that competitive ranked arena matches should provide some sort of incentive for people to go into gamechat and communicate with there team. I can’t really think of a way to do this without forcing people to go into gamechat like MW2 had done. I personally did not like that system but I’d like some sort of system that encourages team chat.
