Comments on Overgrowth

My comments:

  • 343, can you please consider removing the sword from the map? Every time I play FFA or even TS there’s a wide imbalance dictated by who controls the sword. Yes, I understand this rewards good players, but the games just aren’t fun when the outcomes are constantly so outbalanced. - Going forward, can you please develop maps that are less closed quarters. Your last two maps, Overgrowth & Riptide tend to play very one dimensionally due to long corridor hallways. IMO, the best map you’ve developed has been Coliseum. It’s open and multi level, creatively allowing players to maneuver around the map. This is a stark contrast to a long narrow hallway which allows no creativity to maneuver whatsoever. Thanks for listening.

Blue team wins overgrowth most of the time as they spawn in the strongest part of the map to hold, and overgrowth has a lot of quitters due to the early lead that sword control usually grants.

Riptide is a bunch of tiny hallways and fuel rod cannons, I say cannons because of the amount of ammo that they hold there is usually two of them in play after the 3 to 5 min mark. When it first came in rotation there was a game that one team controlled the fuel rods and the beam, the 4 player team combined to have almost 40 power weapon kills, in a game to 50. That usually doesn’t happen but damn just the fact that its possible to have that many power weapon kills in a single game is absurd. I really think the fuel rod having half of its current ammo would go a long way in to making this map more playable and less “fuel rod to blue room” every single game. The map is 80% hall ways and just not big enough to justify having that many power weapons imo, 40 shots in a fuel rod throughout a game is excessive to say the least. Just my 2 cents

Also, why does the attack range on your sword increase when scoped in? Never made sense to me, how is that supposed to work, halo never had aim down sights until now but how do aim down sights increase the range of a melee weapon? Do the spartan’s arms or legs grow or something? Ridiculous feature.

It just doesnt make sense that the took the shotgun out and left the sword
