I am a bit disappointed that there are no new commendations that came with the update for ball game types or for the hammer. But the rest of the update, as well as firefight confirmed on the way, is great.
I agree, although with Assault not being a permanent playlist I suppose some people would be upset if they couldn’t work on the commendations whenever they want. Hopefully enough people will play Assault and 343 will keep it permanently, maybe add a social Team Objective playlist, and add in Ball gametype commendations. I would still like to see Oddball and KOTH, maybe Team objectives could include Assault, Oddball, KOTH, and CTF variations. I am very surprised the Hammer didn’t get it’s own weapon commendation though considering 343 added a commendation for the SPNKR.

They were added to the Company Game Mode commendations list.
I’m more surprised about the lack of hammer commendation than the gametype commendations personally. I’m hoping that they’ll just patch them in at a later date though. I can’t help but get the feeling that even though they were releasing “ahead of schedule”, some of the finer non-critical things (like commendations in this example) may have been rushed out a bit too early.

Well commendation would have been very easy to complete. Hop on grifball for a night and you are done with it
I think it is because the arena population is too low.

The same could be said for anybody who hasn’t finished the Energy sword commendation.
